The third night, or la terza serra, of Sanremo 2015 took place last night. For the established artists competing for a bid to Eurovision, it was time to cover songs from the past. There were five rounds with four artists each. The winner of each round progressed to the final round. Like the past two nights, no established artist has been eliminated from the competition, so it’s difficult to know who is out in front. However, last night let us know that the public has, at least temporarily, thrown its weight behind Nek, as the winner last night was determined by 100% televote. Nek is competing with the rock song “Fatti avanti amore”, which placed in the top six on the first night. We won’t know if he is the actual Sanremo winner until Saturday.

Sanremo 2015 “New Artists” Semifinal Two Results
Before the “Big Artists” sang their songs, four of the eight up-and-coming artists competed for two of the spots in the “New Artists” final, to be held on Friday. The two lucky singers were Giovanni Caccamo with “Ritornerò da te”, and Amara with “Credo”.
Tonight’s show will feature the twenty big artists singing their songs, as well as the final of the new artists. The first elimination will take place tomorrow, as four of the twenty singers will be eliminated to complete a sixteen-artist lineup for Saturday’s finale.
Excellent writing, i did read it twice so sorry for this, i’ve passed it on to
my friends, so hopefully they should like it as well.
Italy and RAI would definitely host the show. However, they wouldn’t be as enthusiastic as Azerbaijan, Russia, Germany were for example.
Eurovision is a huge show, so they wouldn’t ignore it (jESC is nothing next to Eurovision, so why would they spend money on it?)
Nek or Il Volo have amazing songs and they can sing. Il Volo could actually win the whole thing.
Nek is brilliant. His similarly-titled track Fatti Amare was one of my favourite songs of 2002.
Lets be honest, does Italy even want to host it? They passed on JESC, surely a budget significantly less than ESC.
Il Volo. They will shine in Vienna, different music from other countries, great song, great voices, this is quality. It could be Rome 2016 if they will send them. Btw. we had only soloists from Italy, we need Italian group now.
