Last night Aminita Savadogo won Latvia’s Supernova 2015 by a large margin, finishing 7,000 votes ahead of runner-up Markus Riva and his song “Take Me Down”. The Latvians truly see something in her — and so do we. wiwibloggers William and Jacob caught up with Aminata after the show. She was shocked, but she is ready for the next step.
Aminata admitted that she was way too nervous to look at the results as they rolled in, and listened to music to take her mind off of it. She is super happy that she won, but no after-party for her: she needs to rest those vocal chords! Aminata will start her Eurovision planning on Tuesday, after a full day of rest and relaxation (and a day of university).
I was rooting for Markus, but this is still best Latvian entry in years (since Questa Notte in 2007), and I hope they pass into finals for once. Good luck.
She has an international appeal around her. Something fresh from Latvia to show Europe.
God job Latvia in piking Aminatas song!
Congratulations to Aminata! 🙂
I wanted the Latvian hottie babe Markus to win instead
but her song is beautiful and i can see why see won last night.. 🙂
**(Gay) Love Injected ** reminds me actually of Bjork’s special kind of music.. <3 🙂
Aminata must was inspired by her to create this lovely song.. 🙂
