Yesterday we went gaga over the live performances at the Eurovision PreParty Riga 2015. Amid all our excitement we almost forgot to mention a stellar performance that took place the night before in Moscow. The City of Vienna and this year’s host broadcaster ORF held a special event called “12 Points Vienna” that saw Austria’s Makemakes get friendly with Russia’s Polina Gagarina. When Polina sang “A Million Voices” jaws dropped…
Polina blew her Austrian guests away — hopefully it won’t scare them as they prepare for the grand final.
We previously heard Polina sing her song as a closing number at her concert in Vladivostok. It was great. But this time she presented her song in a different way: with less stress and more energy in an intimate setting. Her voice is extremely strong and she fears nothing: she just sings and leave the audience absolutely amazed.
How will she surprise us in Vienna on that incredible stage? How do you think she should stage her performance? Let us know below.
The booing that will likely take place is just plain barbaric. People complain about the contrast being political… Well stop making it political!
I find her impressive, more and more. It’s too bad that Russia won with such crap as Dima Bilan, when you see the amazing artists/songs they are capable of sending to ESC.
My reaction when I sometimes see some of Mario’s posts

I think that juries will cut so many points for Russia like last year, and only public in ex soviet countries and few more wili vote for Russia. With points from them, enough points for another TOP 10 for Russia in final, but don t deserve with this song for me.
The song still leaves no impact on me. She has a good voice, but the song is a featherweight. I just can’t get into it at all.
This should have been the theme song for a Disney princess movie – and I mean it in a good way. Polina is so slick and she has that GLOW, and the song although generic is very effective.
For the ESC presentation I would dare going all the way with a Disney-like fairy tale theme, a bit of Hollywood infuse.
Well done Russia.
Powerful! I like it a lot.
Even the poor video and sound, she sounds live much better than Edurne in an TV show
What a great vocalist, one of the best voices to grace the contest this year.
first place this song is no where near to be as a winner, second i encourage the all former soviet countries not to give a vote to Russia bcs they are the reason of a massive political mess,Eurovision cannot build bridges with Russia bcs they will destroy again and again and again, actually i think they are hypocrite to even think contesting on Eurovision while they are the reason of the mess they have created in East Europe and still are, shame on them.
Here is a new live performance for Edurne in a Spanish tv! ENJOY! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otzf9PDCfPE#t=135
Great voice, great song. This might be sailing into top5.
This would be a contender for the victory if the political circumstances were better.
She doesn’t need dancers. She should keep the beefy lads she already has in this video.
OH MY LORD she is soooooooo good, THAT voice! She will slay!! I love her song, she will be top 5 for sure!! Russia deserves it, GO RUSSIA, GO POLINA!!!
I hope nobody has any semi-naked dancers anywhere regardless of gender but that’s probably just me
But ok 4 Polina to include hot guys semi naked dancers that would not do any homoerotic gay activity though on stage on her live performance would not be any inapropriate at all after all… 🙂 So she should really go 4 it..! <3 🙂 It is really the same with sexy hot almost naked chicks women that are dancing with even explicit sl*tty way and we have witnessed this scene a lot in every occasion of our lifes…And pretty much you don't see anyone really complain about that or any really harsh reactions from people…HYPOCRITES much..?? 😛 Like give… Read more »
@ mocosuburbian.. I did not persuade Polina to do anything herself of course…It is just only my own personal view state of mind & nothing more…It doesn’t represent any others than only me.. 4 the record,It might be my own ”Vision of Gay Love” but overall it is just The (European) Vision that OF COURSE any kind of love is allowed {gay,straight,bisexual,platonic,black,blonde,russian,etc..} 🙂 It is just how many of YOU guys that misunderstand my intentions/real point of view and it gets too much 4 me to have to explain my purpose.. Of course I would really LOVE it if dear… Read more »
Dominik from the Makemakes seems to have a little crush on Polina. Maybe they are bound to get babies.
Objectively & only honestly the Russian song of Polina is very beautiful…! <3 I have it on my top10 on the 1st semifinal & on my top20 overall <3 Im doing almost every day my personal ranking on the semifinals & my top40 and most of the entries are changing places all the time but i have never rank Polina's song outside of my top10 of qualifiers to the big final… <3 It is too good song to get eliminated in the semifinal… With a great fabulous performance dear Polina can go really high on the scoreboard on the night… Read more »
Mario
the booing
it’s not about that
it’s largely about Ukraine
even then, Gagarina shouldn’t feel obligated to represent the LGBT community in her performance
it’s not a pride parade
it’s a song contest
To help Polina trying even calming down the possible negative reactions/booying from people in the audience { not many eurofans in the arena would gonna boo her anyway…very different situation than last year as i said..} you should send her to many gay parties in Vienna & make her possibly even once stating her mind about homosexuals & homosexuality….Like real interview or a part of her main interview.. I do not think that this would really mind her people Russians or Mr. Putin.. If only she didn’t have any same sex homosexual activity on her live on performance that would… Read more »
We know that Russia will be in final, in final in TOP 10 from 6 to 10 place thanks only to huge votes from ex soviet countries 8 countries from 6 to 12 points minumum from that countries, plus votes from Israel, Greece,Serbia, Montenegro . I predict that Russia will not get many points from juries like last year.
Polina is very pretty with gorgeous eyes.. <3 Her voice is really powerful and she has nothing to envy from other world famous divas with high octaves/range.. Her song is beautiful and can go really high in Vienna.. She is hot favorite 4 a great high place if it goes fine with her on May.. 🙂 Even if she possibly gets booed by the audience i really do not think that it will be something extreme or way too much like it was last year in Copenhagen.. Im positive that it won't affect her at all and she wil not… Read more »
She can work a crowd regardless of the room…I just hope her backup derpers–sorry, dancers–don’t come along. They distract. Just Polina, backup singers, and lighting would be good…kind of like Pastora in Baku. I just hope she’s not booed.
She is a fantastic singer and performer with a crystal clear voice. That is by far the best live performance I’ve see so far from any 2015 act, but it is early days.
