William: Marta & Vaclav each have big voices. But they aren’t in some sort of nuclear arms race to out-do the other. Instead they manage to make their power blend in the most unexpected way. With their vocals squared away they had time to play with the camera. Marta was sensuous as she rubbed her neck and at times she gave the camera glam slam sex eyes. The pair had greater interplay today, and we could totally feel the sexual tension: At times they touched each other and, indeed, they end the performance head-to-head. Visually the dark clouds that dominate the LED eventually give way to glints of yellow, orange and purple. And as that new dawn comes it’s clear Marta & Vaclav are really enjoying themselves. Throughout their rehearsals they smiled and laughed — and Marta once again threw off her shoes. But she may need them: Increasingly it looks like she’ll be stomping to the final.

I hope Hope Never Dies qualifies for the final. I love the song & love the singers. You can see from the interviews that Marta & Vaclav are the real deal & not giving well rehearsed answers.

I feel like Norway will overshadow them unfortunately. Plus, their stage performance is way too simple. They should have played more with the camera and each other, maybe some props would add more to the atmosphere of the song (a wall separating them). I dislike Marta’s dress and her taking off her shoes looks ridiculous and funny, which might cost them as televoters won’t take it seriously. At least Czech Republic will get a decent result for their standards this year, even if they don’t qualify. Please vote for them.

Zero appeal for me, no chance of qualifying

An excellent job there from the Czech Republic. They have taken a quite formulaic song and made it deeply moving and touching. Not only will they qualify but I think we will see them in the top-10.

I don’t understand the shoe-throwing though. Is this going to be part of their performance? Cause right now I don’t get it.

I like the song but I really don’t understand the show throw. Maybe it’ll make more sense with the camera angles during the performance.

This is performed so well! The chemistry is great, vocally it does the job and it actually feels like I am watching a performance. Norway could learn a lot from this. Slowly, this looks as if it might actually qualify, which is excellent news!

I do wish the LED screen was just the clouds and not the mirrors (?) as these look as thought not a lot of money was spent on the graphic design.

I agree with Robyn, they really seem to enjoy the whole thing, which is the most important. They both have great voices, but the song… I don’t know, it just lacks a little something in my opinion. Also, the background looks rather cheap, glam it up a little! All in all I hope they will qualify, just because they seem so down-to-earth, funny and likeable 🙂

William:.-

This time I do agree with your review, (hehe) You had your eyes opened, ok!!
Marta once again threw off her shoes. But she may need them, that’s for sure !!
Someone has to tell that to MARTA, otherwise (see you back next time & next year).

This is incredible! You two are FLAWLESS and they are hilarious in their interviews too <3

Majorly praying for the Czech Republic and voting for them too! Good luck, probably the most underrated entry!
