The submission period for Melodifestivalen 2016 closes on 16 September, but lately we’ve been seeing veryย interestingย Instagram pics that suggest some previous Melfest starsย are getting ready to enter again.
Over the past few weeks these artistsย have shared pics on Instagram that show them working on new music. Sure, they might be recording stuff that has nothing to do with Melodifestivalen, but given that these pics were taken onlyย weeks away from the Melfest 2016 deadline, we can’t help wonder if we’ll be seeing these starsย in Friends Arena in March – or maybe even in front of the home crowd at the Globe in May.
Isa
Her 2015 #Melfest song “Don’t Stop” opened with the line “I’ve always defended my crown”. Is Isa planningย vengeance in 2016?
Got some crazy things going on???????? #hitmaking #studio #songwriting #isalicious

Danny Saucedo & EMD
Danny has been spotted having fun in the studio with Mattias Andrรฉasson, further fuelling rumours of an EMD #Melfest reunion. Is the grown-up boyband hoping to do better than their third place in 2009?

Dinah Nah
After her successful comeback this year, is the pink-haired popstress bringingย some more sass to Melfest?
Panetoz
The 2014 finalists have been busy in the studio, promising something new for #2016.

Ace Wilder
In 2014, she only missed out on winning #Melfest by two points. Now Ace is back in the studio with the same songwriters behind “Busy Doin’ Nothin'” and “Heroes”.

Linus Svenning
Linus entered #Melfest in 2014 and 2015 – will he make it a threesome in 2016? And would he sing in English or Swedish?
Molly Pettersson Hammar
Molly controversially missed out on a place in the Melodifestivalen final this year, but will 2016 be her year to conquer?
Yes. I’m back. In the studio, writing some songs for y’all???? ha en fantastisk tisdag lovers!!! A photo posted by Molly Pettersson Hammar (@mollypetterssonhammar) on
Who do you want to see in Melodifestivalen 2016? Leave your comments below!
Well this user has a strong point but.. *Dolly Style* were NOT expected to win the whole MelodiFestivalen…They just were lucky to be the one from the 28 acts of MelodiFestivalen & thats all…They managed to qualify to the andra chansen & good 4 them.. There is just diversity with all kind of different acts & music genre/songs…Thats cool positive 4 the Swedish NF & this is the main reason why it is so popular among the Swedes.. They just manage to combine art with novelty acts with success…And their circus novelty acts do not pass as trashy & even… Read more »
I would be great if Martin Rolinski returned
I want to go La La La with Dinah Nah !!!!!!!!
@ mawnck Melodifestivalen is, as you may know, the most popular TV-show in Sweden, all due to the fact that it’s a “campfire”. A show for grandparents, parents, teens and little kids. Which is why the show contains such diverse content. Ace Wilder, Dina Nah and Dolly Style are just some examples of what the younger demographic prefers, handing them a great advantage since so many kids like to vote for their favorites, meanwhile many adults doesn’t feel the need to vote for their favorite 20 times in a row. And I can’t blame the kids for voting for the… Read more »
Mariette is wwriting with Peter Bostrรถm and Thomas G:son.
All this is bad B-artist come on Sweden don’t you have any top artists out there?
Sweden clearly want to win again.
Ace Wilder, Dinah Nah โฆ I wish someone could explain to this American the popularity of these two, because I am absolutely baffled. They’re both lousy vocalists, and all their material (at least what I’ve heard) is blatantly derivative, lowest-common-denominator schlock. In fact, the thing I find most confusing about Melodifestivalen is how such truly DREADFUL music somehow manages to hold its own against the really fantastic stuff. I mean, Mรฅns Zelmerlรถw vs. friggin’ Dolly Style. How does that even happen? It’s as if Ed Sheeran is competing with the Teletubbies, and for some reason everyone’s taking the Teletubbies seriously.… Read more »
I would scream if MPH returned
I’m Swedish and don’t think any of this is ‘something new under the sun’ same Christer Bjรถrkman one man show as before
very strange public service Swedish broadcast company let one man manage Melodifestivalen
I hope Linus will be at MF 2016. His voice is so unique and beautiful, so is his songs. He is a masterpierce. Forever starts today ๐
I think Danny Saucedo will be in-it-to-win-it if he ever decides to return, and the host country often send an average song (not bad, but nothing special either). That’s how we ended up with Robin Stjernberg’s “You” after Loreen had won. But yeah, I’d like Sweden to take the host year just as serious as any other year. And if we do, then I’d love to see in-it-to-win-it artists like Ace Wilder and Danny Saucedo back.
ALSO, First Aid Kit or Zara Larsson. That would be awesome.
From these 7 acts i support mostly either Alice {Ace Wilder} & the babe Linus to win in MelodiFestivalen…{ He has really hot handsome face & if he lose all these piercings & grow his hair he will be really hottie hunk <3 } But I won't mind if Dinah wins either.. Isa is still too young & i do not see her winning the whole thing {at least next year because she can win in a future MelFest} but if she does then ok.. About Molly…Maybe the curse will still keep following her & she will miss the Final… Read more »
good thinking Robyn!!! I think Sweden will try hard for top 3 next year.?t’s Danny Saucedo’s turn.
Frankly, I don’t wanna know anything about Sweden, for at least two years. Am I the only one?
More rock and indie – and less schlager ๐
@ Well now this recipe might won’t work anymore as you must have changed it with your mind..
It always changes when you keep figure out facts & they are not secret anymore..
Like Robyn had told me that this year might be Danny’s turn to win the MelodiFestivalen…He might wins but he might won’t…Or win in another year anyway..
Helena Paparizou PLEASE.
I’ll cheer for Molly. And I thought Ace Wilder no longer wants to participate in future MFs? Guess we’ll wait for this then.
I have noticed that Sweden have a pattern at Eurovision since 2011.
2011 – Eric Saade – “Popular”
2012 – Loreen – “Euphoria”
2013 – Robin Stje…. – “You”
2014 – Sanna Nielsen – “Undo”
2015 – Mans – “Heroes”
It seems that Sweden send a one-word titled song with a female singer every even year, and a male solo singer every odd year. So therefore I hope for Ace Wilder, Dinah Nah, Helena Paparizou, Molly Petterson-Hamma, Molly Sanden or Isa.
Jnaet Leon to Melodifestivalen ,Ace and Helena Paparizou.
Today its the last day of our Summer of 2015.. ๐ It seems that the preparations in the ground of Sweden have already started & kicked off & we are going to welcome the all new season 4 the next 61st EuroVision of 2016 ๐ In a while we will know about who will get chosen to be the big host(s) of the #Globen Vision ๐ The Winner song *Heroes* is still rising on Sweden’s charts ๐ Now its on #59 & has dropped only 4 places from last week.. ๐ I guess that it will manage to stay inside… Read more »
If this is all true, then it will be melodiBESTivalen ever!
Oh! Its going to get really FIERCE! ๐
I smell really touch competition in the upcoming MelodiFestivalen! ๐
It seems that the Swedes want to win the trophy AGAIN inside their home soil ๐
I will not be really surprised if Sweden wins 4 a seventh time in less than 9 months from now & have the EuroVision 2017 in Sweden.. ๐ If this happens then Sweden will have host our Vision 3 times in just 4 years!! Insane! ๐
