Mystical, magical, minimalist — Nina Sublatti knows how to do it all. And today she does it all again with the release of her dark video for “Dark Desire”.
Nina looks ethereal and beautiful as she vogues underwater, at times resurfacing to work close-up shots of her face. While submerged Nina sometimes appears lifeless: thoughts of her lover haunt her, draining what little life remains. At least the pain evokes important memories. “It’s bittersweet…I can’t get enough,” she says.
The video speaks the same visual language as Nina’s videos for “Warrior” and “I’ve Got an Idea”. It makes sense. Once again she has worked with David Gogokhia, a highly experienced producer, web designer and director, to create the video. He co-founded Studio Big Cake a few years ago along with Givi Magradze and George Mkheidze, and their work has thus far been sublime. Can we please have them work on every Georgian Eurovision project?!
