The first show hasn’t even hit tv screens yet, but LRT have already finished up filming on the second episode of Eurovizijos dainu konkurso nacionaline atranka. Compared to episode one, which was recorded yesterday, this was a less starry affair.
No Eurovision returnees feature in the eight act line-up, which once again consists of acts drawn from the second stream. Remember, this year’s contest is made up of 28 finalists split into two streams — (1) artists without their own songs and (2) artists with their own competing entries.
Show two running order
- Jurgis Bruzga “GoOne”
- Ugne Smile “You Don’t Know”
- Lawreigna “Falling”
- Istvan Kvik “Please Don’t Cry”
- Catrinah “Be Free”
- Egle Jakstyte “Leisk Dar Buti”
- Valdas Lacko “Stay Tonight”
- Ruta Sciogolevaite “United”
Ruta Sciogolevaite proved to be a favourite with the jury, earning the maximum 12 points. Catrinah was just behind with 10. The remaining points were split between Jurgis Bruzga (8), Istvan Kvik (7), Egle Jakstyte (6), Lawreigna (5), Ugne Smile (4) and Valdas Lacko (3). These scores will be aggregated with the votes of foreign experts and the public after the show is broadcast. The three acts with the lowest combined score will be eliminated.
Show two won’t air until Saturday 16 January. But you don’t have to wait until then to hear all the songs. Istvan, Catrinah, Egle and Valdas have already published studio versions of their entries. You can listen to them below.

Catrinah has the best song, easily! I hope she wins.
Well, now I seriously Dont understand why is everyone so obsessed with Cathrina….
CATRINAH deserves to win this ! 🙂 Others are too bland for me. Sadly we don’t know all the songs yet. If Catrinah wins, she’ll be my favorite this year with Estonia’s Supersonic and Sweden’s Dolly Style 😀
