After a spectacular show in Chisinau, complete with a firework trumpet, a lazy susan and a hand theatre, Moldova has chosen its first eight finalists for Saturday’s O melodie pentru Europa final. Twelve acts competed in tonight’s first semi-final, with the result being determined by a mixture of jury and public votes.

With only 13 votes, PRIZA’s next family meeting will be interesting XD

I *tried* to watch the semifinal, but all attempts to find a stream that worked worth a dang in California were thwarted. The parts I could see were a huge improvement over last year in every possible respect (with one glaring exception that the jury obviously picked up on).

MTD, put down the ganja.

The televoting winner got #2 in the Final, while the jury winner got #15 in the Final (of 16 total).

Moldova, your tricky games again, ha?

40 minute interval act?!

Although, remember when Ruslana gave, what I believe was, 30 minutes interval for the Romanian final? That was entertaining hahaha!

Last place has no family or friends. It seems quite sad.

Didn’t watch the show, but I’m stocked Maxim came on top! I love his song.
