Ireland has been dethroned! After six weeks at the top, Nicky Byrne is no longer your number one. A total of 14,930 votes were cast since Sunday 28 February, and we can now confirm that Dalal & Deen feat. Ana Rucner and Jala are your new favourites. Bosnia & Herzegovina’s quartet saw a huge surge in support, with “Ljubav Je” picking up a very impressive 3,996 votes or 26.76% of all votes cast. That’s up from 281 votes last week, when they finished eight.

He may have lost the current battle, but Nicky Byrne isn’t going anywhere. The “Sunlight” singer occupies second place, amassing 1,348 votes or 9.03% of all votes cast. Nonetheless, this represents his lowest tally since week two, when he received only 668 votes.

Bosnia & Herzegovina aren’t the only ones enjoying a resurgence. Iceland’s Greta Salóme climbs from four to three with 1,109 votes or 7.43% of all votes cast. That’s a significant improvement on the 672 votes she received in our previous poll.

Greta Salóme “Hear Them Calling”

Spain’s grip on the poll also appears to be loosening. After enjoying three weeks at two, Barei falls to four. “Say Yay!” attracted 1,080 votes or 7.23% of all votes cast.

Latvia round out the top five, making Justs the highest new entry. “Heartbeat” earned 914 votes or 6.12% of all votes cast.

Justs “Heartbeat”

Elsewhere, Germany, Norway and Hungary debut at seven, eight and nine respectively. The United Kingdom lands just outside the top ten at 12, with Finland, Moldova and Slovenia finishing at 16, 20 and 21. Belarus and Georgia continue to occupy the bottom two positions.

As always, the slate will be wiped clean when we relaunch the poll on Monday 7 March. Our current 23 will be joined by songs from France, Armenia, Israel, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Russia, Estonia, Poland, Romania and FYR Macedonia..

I hate Ireland! It wins cause everyone has it in Top 9 (Actually, not true but lets pretend they do). You should make us vote only for our 1st favourite song. Please, do this, and you will see a much more interesting poll.
And well done Bosnia and Herzegovina.

My predictions (not based on my opinion) Bosnia & Herzogovina will get about 15th place, just because of neighbours. It won’t get a lot of points from jury. Ireland probably will not qualify for the finals. Iceland is just loved by fans, it will get like around 20th place. Spain, although the song is modern and sounds like a potentional radio hit, will end up somewhere near the top10. Latvia will be in the top10, not higher than 4th place (although Justs said that the performance will be completely changed, so that could get Latvia a bit higher) Ukraine top5… Read more »

@ESCFAN You have surely never been in mosque,’couse if you were you would have known how it looks like inside (‘couse this is a national libary, which has recently been renovated) .
BTW There is no single part in a song or symbol of Islam, so pleace explain to all of us what does it mean ‘too muslim’?
Why is it so hard to first check the accuracy of information and then start speaking- in this case writing?

This is actually probably quite prophetic. Since, with the voting changes in place this year combined with a lot of weak entries, the result of the ESC will probably come as a landslide surprise right at the end. Bosnia & Herzigovina will get votes from A LOT of neighbours this year, as well as those closeted rap-lovers out there. They are probably a good outside bet this year, i would have thought. x

Relax guys 🙂 Deen and Dalal have been sharing this article on their FB fan and private pages (where they have a lot of followers) a couple of times already. That’s the reason Bosnia is first in this poll. And Wiwibloggs doesn’t mind all those extra visits which come from Facebook. They organize polls like this one, so they could get more visitors thanks to artists who share this article to get more votes. It’s actually smart. Well done. But we’d love to see some objective poll, even though I’m not sure how that could be achieved. Maybe to disable… Read more »

Lemme clarify in my last comment: Ireland & Spain are always near the top and nearly always flop (forgot that part, so I wasn’t a fan of Ireland being the leader for the past weeks either). Anyways, my own opinion: Bosnia’s song is good but not #1 worthy good. Not surprised at all at Ireland and Spain near the top since they nearly always are (but flop during the actual contest, where were all their fans when they needed them? 🙂 ). Austria, Latvia, Iceland are all amazing so they deserve to be there. My own unpopular opinion that everyone… Read more »

It’s so sad that wiwibloggs still put out these polls. Like, they have good intent and the whole point is to have fun 🙂 but they always end up the same: some country “mysteriously” ends up getting a surge of votes and they end up on top. It’s fixed, really. Ireland and Spain are always near the top, while Georgia (last year) and B&H (this year) are at the top for some odd reason. It’s just unrealistic with all the hype behind Latvia, Iceland, Cyprus, Germany, etc. that a random country like Bosnia would be at the top. Idk, its… Read more »

I think when a song this bad tops the poll by such a margin, it negates any value that these polls have.

I love how pretty much everyone instantly calls the poll fake when Bosnia is leading, but fail to pick up on the blatant fakeness of Ireland.

Tbh, I doubt a weak song like Iceland can get enough votes to come 3rd. Spain gets a lot of votes by Spanish fans, so I’m happy in believing Latvia and Ukraine got their results deservedly so and so get the top 2 spots.

Yeah, judging by the reaction of literally everyone else on the internet, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Ireland are in no way legitimately at the top. This poll isn’t exactly credible judging from this and most results which come from it.

You should change the system where you can only vote once and only for 1 song. These results are ridiculous.

ESCFAN

I’m not certain about this favouritism about bosnian song. It is great, I liked it, but seems a little bit “too muslim”, or better saying, “too arabic” in arrangements…even the video was made in a mosque. Reminds me some television station covering th Hajj Pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia and maybe many europeans dislike it, unfortunatel, due to bad image muslims often have in here – it’s not my opinion, I have absolutely nothing against muslims or arabs or any people, but I see that islamophobia very often.

And the real universe’s version of the results. Another week in, another week with Ireland at the top of our polls. This week saw Iceland’s Greta Salome surge to 2nd to nudge out Spain’s Barei, now in 3rd. This week’s newcomers had decidedly divergent fates. Latvia’s Justs premiered at a very respectable 4th, followed by newcomers Ukraine (Jamala), Germany(Jamie-Lee Kriewitz), Norway(Agnete), Hungary(Freddie), taking 5th through 8th respectively. Cyprus’ Minus One and Italy’s Francesca Michielin, who has hinted at a song change, fill out the top 10. UK’s Joe and Jake just missed the top 10 to place 11th. Our readers… Read more »

I think the voting period for these polls needs to be dramatically condensed. As more time passes, the results get less and less accurate, where even after several hours Bosnia pulled ahead but after a few days had passed Ireland of course moved its way up to 2nd despite only having 1% of the first 2,000 votes. Don’t give them time to skew the results.
