On Thursday afternoon they delivered their first rehearsals ahead of the Second Semi-Final of Melodifestivalen 2017.

And later in the evening the party continued for the Melfest 2017 artists as they enjoyed a lavish dinner at the SF2 Welcome Party inside Malmö Town Hall.

Sporting their finest clothes and ready to let loose after a long day, the acts put down their champagne to say hello to wiwiblogger Deban.

We’ll upload all of our footage on the wiwibloggs YouTube channel today and tomorrow. But you can see some of the slayage on our Instagram page right now and below.

Melfest 2017 host Hasse Andersson — who took to fourth place in last year’s final with “Guld och Gröna Skogar”— let us know precisely where those green and gold forests are located…

Co-host David Lindgren looked sharper than ever and reprised his three Melodifestivalen entries (albeit in condensed form).

Special shout-out to wiwireaders: “I love the support you give me and I hope you enjoy Melodifestivalen!” We are, we are…

Hip-hop star Allyawan was in fine form and even wrote us a new chant: “We ‘da squad! Wiwibloggs!”

The rapper was enjoying every moment and seemed incredibly thankful for the opportunity to sing at Melfest: “I would never be in any form of event like this any other way.”

“I Don’t Give A” singer Lisa Ajax is totally unfazed by the controversy surrounding her four-letter lyrics.

In fact, she let us have another listen to her swearing.

Roger Pontare — a two-time Eurovision veteran — gave us a quick reprise of his anthemic song from 2000 “When Spirits Are Calling My Name”…

No party would be complete without a bit of glam rock androgyny.

So we were over-the-moon to bump into the well-coiffed guys from Dismissed, who worked their signature looks, which included plenty of make-up and facial hair.

They’re not yet convinced Deban can handle their make-up tips, but offered some advice anyway: “More is more!”

What’s better than one dreadlocked diva? How about two! Such was the case when Deban met Mariette, who is widely tipped to win this heat and, in fact, all of Melodifestivalen.

Does she have a message for all of you guys on wiwibloggs? “Please be with me on Saturday,” she says. “I can feel your support.”

You know you’re going through, right babe?

“No, I don’t know that. But I sure do hope so.”

Next up was the impeccably dressed Benjamin Ingrosso, who turned up and turned out in a blazer and turtle neck combo.

“I really hope that you like my song and if you do, I’d be so glad if you vote me through to the finals or Second Chance,” he said.

His song is called “Good Lovin'” and we have a feeling he knows how to serve love real good!

Be sure to check back today and Saturday for our full-on interviews with the stars and hosts of Melodifestivalen 2017!
