Shalom! Israel is calling for the third consecutive year. The mother of all Eurovision pre-parties, which also serves as a promotional event for the state of Israel, will set the world on fire between April 8th and 11th. And the line up so far is star-studded to say the least.

Officials previously teased that “at least 25 acts” would attend. And 11 acts from this year’s Eurovision have already been announced with more set to follow.

The latest confirmed include Madame Monsieur — the electro-pop duo singing “Mercy” — and the Danish viking Rasmussen. He will take a leap and land on higher ground in Tel Aviv. He’ll also bring his pacifist viking anthem with him…and that red beard which we are dying to grab hold of.

FYROM’s Eye Cue have also been confirmed with their Reggeae-bop “Lost and Found” and are bound to bring people to the dance floor. Cesár Sampson will fly in from Austria to perform “Nobody But You”…and there truly is no one like him this year. How many former backing vocalists do you know who have moved centre stage with such confidence and power, and who can model and teach fitness classes in their spare time? All hail, all hail!

Other acts confirmed for the bash so far are Ireland’s Ryan O’Shaughnessy, Switzerland’s Zibbz, Montenegro’s Vanja Radovanovic, Spain’s number one sweethearts Amaia & Alfred, the Georgian vocal group Iriao, Alekseev from Belarus and last but certainly not least, Israel’s homegirl, Netta Barzilai.

Organisers will continue to announce acts in the days ahead.

But that’s not all. This year they also created a little competition among Eurofans, asking them to send a video of themselves explaining why they should win an all-expenses, VIP trip for two.

The votes have been tallied, those who obtained votes through questionable means have been disqualified and the winner is in. And it’s none other than Edd, a wiwiblogger who covered Eurovision 2016 with us in Stockholm!

In his video he served “Golden Boy” realness and we’re so excited that Europe responded so positively to his video.

A buffet of talent and fun is waiting for devoted fans in Tel Aviv between April 8th and 11th. What do you think about the present line-up of Israel Calling? Are there any special acts that you want to see? Please share your thoughts in the comment section below.

How about you don’t be a toxic excrescence, instead?

Not even 1% of the rest of the people on the planet even care one way or the other, but the way that Former Ottoman Vassals go on and on *and* *on* about it like completely classless cyberbullying jerks, y’all really make the rest of us want to say “performers from Macedonia” as often as we possibly can.

Looking forward to seeing the Macedonians perform live in Israel, myself

; )

EDD!!! Congratulations!
Why do we not get to see him anymore?
Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love William and Deban but 2016 was my favourite Wiwi-year because of the diverse team.
I miss Denise as well!

Don’t even try, those leftists will repeat about almost anything they hear without checking facts. The fact that it is nearly impossible for them to live in any of those neighbouring countries without being discriminated against doesn’t matter to them.

It’s because the Netherlands send actual established artists on home soil that don’t have the time for such things in their tight schedules 😛 Be happy they have the time to go to Eurovision itself.

Australia always sends established artists and Jessica Mauboy is putting in an appearance even though its the opposite side of the world. Maybe Robert has a point 😛

In 2017 were 5 countries in Riga, 21 countries in London, 28 countries in Tel Aviv, 34 countries in Amsterdam,21 countries in Madrid, this year seems to have less participants in pre parties. Why? Money problems, or they think is useless?

It’s useless, imo.

The fans already know the songs and chose their faves.

There should be marketing on a wider scale, not in clubs like this.

Can’t wait for Eye Cue and Cesar Sampson live! It better be as good as in the video, cause songs are great. Also, I notoced how Vanja will participate in all three confirmed events so far. Considering his song isn’t that spoken about, that’s a great way to make new fans and promote it. All the best to him, as I’d like to see him qualify. And Madame Monsieur promote their song too… I hope they win, or at least end-up in top 5. 🙂

Eye Cue has a very high bar to reach. Once again, the country is sending a complicated song, with very specific staging needs, that was done excellently as a studio track.

They need to not just “sing well”, but also to give some hint that they might be able to pull together some excellent staging to make all the unique hybrid twists WORK as a live performance.

Good luck to them. I’d love to see them pull it off.

I have great idea for 8 most important countries in the world: Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Slovenia and Israel Angels of Darkness Handball League Angels of Darkness (Beach) Football League Angels of Darkness Cycling League Angels of Darkness Music League Everything will be clothing-optional. There is not possible in this world greater and deeper perversion than my perversion. Believe in it and roll with it. Every team will have 8 players (also 8 substitutes for handball and 8 substitutes for beach football of course). Handball teams will play in the 1-4-2-1 setting. Boy on the goal, four… Read more »

France’s song is about refugees while Israel is kicking out refugees from Africa because they’re not Jewish and ‘threatens the Jewish character of the state’

The hypocrisy.

If France actively wants to bankrupt all of its social programs and generate dozens of dilapidated ethnic ghettoes by inexorably loading up millions of nonproductive noncitizens onto its welfare rolls, that is France’s choice to make for itself.

Smugly demanding that Israel do the same (or that any other nation do the same), without offering to pay the sky-high costs of that imperious demand, is unserious virtue signaling at its most extreme and least convincing.
