Loreen, Carola and Anne Marie-David will perform at Tel Aviv’s port on the night of second semi-final

Are you ready to experience some intense Euphoria? To be captured by a lovestorm until you barely recognize yourself? Tel-Aviv sure is!

On the night of the second semi-final of Eurovision 2019 three Eurovision winners will perform in Tel Aviv’s port: Loreen (2012), Carola (1991) and Anne Marie-David (1973). There are lots of surprises in store for that evening and most of them are under lock-and-key. But here are the details we know so far…

As you must know by now, Tel Aviv is planning to throw non-stop parties during Eurovision week. On Thursday, May 16, the night of the second semi-final, Tel Aviv’s port will stage one of the highlights: Three Eurovision winners — Loreen, Carola and Anne Marie-David — sharing one stage. It’s part of the special collaboration with Tel Aviv’s “white night” programme and we are here for it.

The event is set to begin at 20:00 Israel time, two hours before the broadcast of the second semi-final. It will be hosted by Orna Datz (one half of Duo Datz, who came third at Eurovision 1991 with their song “Kan”) and Eurovision expert and author Alon Amir.

According to The Jerusalem Post, we can expect a full show from all the three Divas. They’ll perform with six dancers. A team of Israeli drag queens will support the show.

Loreen won Eurovision in 2012 with her song “Euphoria”, which is one of Eurofans’ all-time favourite songs. It has won first place for the last seven years in the famous ESC250 end-of-year chart, which is hosted by ESC Radio and Songfestival.be.

Anne Marie-David has a special connection to Israel, as she won Eurovision with “Tu te reconnaîtras” back in 1973 — the year Israel first participated in the contest. She competed once again in 1979 when the contest was held in Israel. She finished third.

Carola won Eurovision in 1991 with her song “Fångad av en stormvind” (Captured by a love storm) and also shares a deep connection with Israel. She has visited Israel many times and since Eurovision 1991 has been a close friend of Duo Datz (Orna and Moshe, who came third at Eurovision 1991). She was a special at the Israeli national selection for Eurovision 1992 and even sang with Duo Datz in Hebrew.

As we mentioned earlier, the show will start 20:00 Israel time, two hours before the second semi-final of Eurovision 2019. The song contest will be aired live on a giant screen for the crowd, so you won’t miss a thing. Right after the broadcast, a Eurovision dance party will kick off and presumably be broken up sometime in the morning.

In addition to that spectacular event, there will also be a main stage in The Eurovision Village (in Charles Clore Park) that will host several Eurovision stars during the Eurovision week.

This year the village will feature different themed zones including one devoted to Israeli cuisine, another to Sports and Yoga, another to DJs and many more. So you can eat some delicious Israeli food, and burn the calories off immediately by dancing the night away — and all to the sounds of Eurovision.
