They’re the unlikely Norwegian trio who won the televote at Eurovision 2019. KEiiNO have capitalised on their success with the release of “Praying” and the announcement of an Australian tour. That momentum has rolled on over to the release of their newest single, “Vill ha dig”.

“Vill ha dig” — KEiiNO

“Vill ha dig” allows the trio to showcase their talents in their own unique take of this Swedish hit. Alexandra sets the pace of this song, piloting a large section of the vocals. The boys play their part too, with their different styles once again showing why this is such a novel collaboration. Notably, Fred’s rapping and joiking skills are on display, adding texture to Alexandra and Tom’s pop sound. They certainly make this Swedish hit their own.

KEiiNO decided to put their take on “Vill ha dig” for their appearance at Stockholm Pride. Their performance drove fans wild in Sweden and inspired them to formally release their version of “Vill ha dig” as a new single.

“Vill ha dig” is not KEiiNO’s first successful cover either. The trio put together a unique take on Lady Gaga’s “Shallow”, complete with a stylish lyric video. They also performed their cover of “Shallow” at the Wiwi Jam in Tel Aviv, alongside “Spirit in the Sky”.

KEiiNO will tour around Europe and Australia in the coming months as they continue to build on their Eurovision success. They are also working on new music as part of their upcoming first studio album. That album is set for a February 2020 release, with the trio undoubtedly hoping to find more inspiration from their travels.
