Gram-Of-Fun, Jüri Pootsmann and Uku Suviste are your favourites to win semi-final two of Eesti Laul 2021

Estonia’s national selection for Eurovision 2021 continues on Saturday. Semi-final two of Eesti Laul 2021 will see 12 more superstar acts — including Eurovision alum Jüri Pootsmann and last year’s Eesti Laul champion Uku Suviste — bid to sing for Estonia in Rotterdam. But only six can make it through to the grand final on Saturday 6 March.

Ahead of semi-final two, we asked our readers to vote for their favourites. And the results are in!

Gram-Of-Fun are your favourite to win semi-final two of Eesti Laul 2021

We counted a total of 2,137 votes in our poll. And it was a close battle between the top three, with the winners defeating their closest runner-up by just one vote! In the end, Gram-Of-Fun emerged as our readers’ favourite to win the second semi-final of Eesti Laul 2021, with their 80s inspired dance-pop track “Lost in a Dance”. They secured 20.78% of the total vote — that’s 444 votes.

A very close second is Eurovision veteran Jüri Pootsmann. Pootsmann previously sang “Play” for Estonia at Eurovision 2016 in Stockholm, but failed to qualify from the semi-final. This year, he’s looking for redemption. His Eesti Laul 2021 song “Magus Melanhoolia” picked up 443 votes in our poll — 20.73% of all votes cast.

Rounding out the top three is bookies’ favourite and returning Eesti Laul 2020 champion, Uku Suviste. The “What Love Is” singer was set to represent Estonia in Rotterdam last year before the contest was cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns. This year, with his powerful pop-rock anthem “The Lucky One”, he’s hoping to make it a double — and finally get to that Eurovision stage. Uku Suviste picked up 416 votes in our poll — that’s 19.47% of all votes cast.

Based on our poll, our readers would like to see Heleza, Suured tüdrukud and Sissi claim the remaining three spots in the final.

Eesti Laul 2021

This Saturday, Eesti Laul semi-final two will see 12 acts battle it out for six spots in the grand final.

The first four qualifiers will be decided by a 50/50 combination of jury votes and public votes. Then, the fifth and sixth qualifiers will be determined solely by the public in a second round of voting. The lucky half-dozen will advance to the final. There, they will be joined by the six qualifiers from Thursday’s semi-final one.

In the grand final on Saturday 6 March, Estonia will choose its Eurovision 2021 act over two rounds of voting. First, a combination of public and jury votes will decide the top three acts to progress through to the super-final. Then, the Estonian public will vote again to elect their song and artist for Rotterdam.

Semi-final two of Eesti Laul 2021 airs on Saturday 20 February at 18:30 CET.

Heleza for the wing such a beautiful song. Really hoping she can win it. Fingers crossed Estonia.

I dont see final for her after this lackluster performance and outfit.

This is the outcome I am hoping for, except I’d reverse Sissi with Redel. I can’t wait to hear them live. Unlike most, I believe that Heleza’s song won’t be *that* hard to pull off (it’s quite chill). On the other hand, Juri’s chorus will be extra-difficult, but I believe in him!

OMG, they won by just one vote! That has to be a Wiwi record. The live performances will all be key. Best of luck to everyone tonight.

There was one poll where this also happened recently. Can’t find it though 🙁

Gram-of-Fun will not win this semi-final, but should make it to the final.
