The Nordics. They are dark in the winter and bright in the summertime. They are so different, yet so alike in many ways. But what each Nordic country does have in common is the love for Eurovision.
We previously asked you to vote for your favourite of the Eurovision 2022 entries from Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland and Finland. You’ve made up your mind, and the results are in.
Cornelia Jakobs is a favourite of the Nordic acts at Eurovision 2022
Five Nordic acts battled for your affection and love but it is Sweden’s heartbreak queen Cornelia Jakobs who has emerged as a winner.
Almost 4,000 votes were cast in this year’s Nordic poll and Cornelia powered ahead, leaving her fellow acts well behind. She and her song “Hold Me Closer” received a whopping 1,625 votes, or 41.2% of the total.
The Norwegian moon wolves came second. They were the only other act to earn over 1,000 votes. Subwoolfer just achieved this with their entry “Give That Wolf A Banana”, picking up 1,091 votes – that’s 27.66% of all votes.
In third place, and taking home the bronze medal in this poll, are the veteran rock band The Rasmus from Finland. They secured a total of 634 votes for their song “Jezebel”, which gives them 16.08% of all cast votes.
Not too far behind in fourth are Iceland’s Systur. The trio were awarded 422 votes, which gives “Með Hækkandi Sól” a 10.70% share of your votes.
Finally, it’s Denmark’s REDDI who bring up the rear. “The Show” received 4.36% of the vote, which equates to a mere 172 votes.
Now that the Eurovision 2022 rehearsals have kicked off, a lot can change over the next two weeks and the tables can turn in a blink of an eye. We can’t wait to see these five acts light up the stage in Pala Olimpico.

the lyrics aren’t great, but I love her performance. It sends chills down my spine.
It”soooo boring
Sweden is the only one with winner potential this song is so authentic and her raspy vocals work perfectly with the message of the song add that together with the violin instrumental and that beat its simply perfection 10/10 ?
It’s my favorite this year, but I gotta admit it’s that way because my favorites from the other ones’ NFs didn’t win
My Nordic top
1. Iceland
2. Finland
3. Norway
4. Sweden
5. Denmark
Downvote me if you want, I don’t give a damn 😀
Na, sorry. I’ve heard songs like that before. Not interesting. Boring. She has an interesting voice though, but Medina should have won in Melodifestivalen.
Funny you say that given how much Medina’s song sounded like Pepas. A bit surprised how little it was mentioned.
Indeed the resemblance is undeniable, In I Dimman sounds like a Bella Ciao x Pepas crossover
My ranking for the nordic countries this year is: 1.Finland, 2. Norway, 3.Denmark, 4.Sweden, 5.Iceland
Everybody doesn’t care of my taste and of my opinion but I have to admit that Iceland is growing on me and I love the lightings they use for their staging. I find Jezebel really great, I find Subwoofers so fun, Denmark I like their energy the song is not bad but not enough powerful, still something likeable though, Sweden certainly a good song for Cornelia’s fans but I’m not into it since the Melfest, I think the lyrics and the way she performs don’t fit really well and I can’t connect with her, it didn’t manage to grow on… Read more »
I really like hold me closer and it’s my favorite to win eurovision. Everyone has their own opinion and everyone has their right to express themself. Imagine how boring it’ll be if everyone agrees on everything. My main problem is when people here don’t respect different opinions or making unnecessary/disturbing or evil comment about the artist or the song. Some people can conncet to with her and someone can’t and that’s fine. Just because I connect with the song and really like it doesn’t mean that everyone does it. So No, I dont think that you’re a bad Eurofan or… Read more »
