Eurovision season is now in full swing and Serbia have announced that they have received a record number of entries for their national final Pesma za Evroviziju.

RTS – Serbia’s national broadcaster – have announced that a record 235 songs have been sent in this year. The selection committee will listen to all the tracks on 11th December, whittling the field down to around 30 songs.

Those (around) 30 songs will go on to compete in Serbia’s national final, hoping to win their ticket to Sweden next year.

Olivera Kovačević the Director of the Entertainment Program of the Serbian Broadcasting Corporation (RTS) revealed the news on the podcast Evrovizijske Priče.

“Around 235 compositions. Last year there were around 185. Almost fifty more compositions and authors than last year. From year to year we have more interest and I can say that people with amateur recordings to top professionals, to young gifted, to people with a successful career.”

Pesma za Evroviziju 2024

RTS also announced that the national final Pesma za Evroviziju 2024 will consist of three live shows.
Two semi-finals on the 27th and 29th February 2024 with the grand final being held on the 2nd March 2024.

And the horny gays will vote for the “hottest” act and we’ll get another meh entry by an ‘artist’ wanting to be different from everyone else. Yay!
RTS should just get rid of public votes.

I’d like to see a live audience at the final this time. No more canned applause, please.

They wont have live audience. They are filming in Kosutnjak studio, same like last year. I watched whole interview with Olivera (head of Serbian delegation), she said in order to rent Belgrade Arena (which is the biggest Arena on the Balkans) or newly renovated Sava Center (where the used to held Beovizija) they would need a lot of money and they would be only able to rent it for 3 weeks max. VS in their studio in Kosutnjak they will start preparations for national final next month already and they will work with each semifinalist for 2 full months on… Read more »

“Novi plan drugi san” was an incredible banger, should’ve gone to ESC, could’ve done very well with the public

There must be a rule that a country which is in an active conflict, cannot take part at the contest. Obviously, the EBU will never grow the balls as big as that.

There is no conflict with Kosovo. You cannot have a conflict with your own province.

As the trend for next year is returning artists who have already been successful in Eurovision, I can see Konstrakta coming back.

Simple. I wanna see another Zeljko Joksimovic flavored song, possibly even written by Zeljko himself, but not sung by himself. It’s been long overdue, especially with so many ex-Yugoslavs out of the contest. Thank YOU for that, EBU.

the results felt a little shady last year honestly, Luke came 6th in the semi however in the final he won, with different juries

maybe someone who knew him was in the jury in the final, i really had thought Filip would’ve ended up as the winner

his style is not really something for eurovision but he has a talent for this alternative style with anime/video game vibes as for wealthy family, i suspected something like that, not every serbian can afford to go studying in a university in the UK, as well as his hobby’s which include fencing but honestly since i also supported Emma Muscat the year before i really didn’t judge him on that as i also didn’t judge Emma on her family background i love his PZE outfit more than his ESC outfit (which gave me flamenco vibes while the former fitted the… Read more »
