The 10 acts set to compete in the Eurovizija.LT 2024 final have finally been chosen. LRT’s jury and the Lithuanian public have been voting for their favourites over five heats, which featured three of the country’s past Eurovision acts, plus many more famous and newly established names.

It’s exactly 30 years since Lithuania’s debut at Eurovision. Although the country is still hunting for a win, they have not missed a grand final since the pandemic — gaining high scoring 8th, 14th, and 11th place finishes in the most recent years. Can any of the 10 competing entries go any higher than that and reach the top five?

You’ve now got the chance to have your say. Let us know who your favourites are, and who you want to see waving the Lithuanian flag in Malmö.

Scroll down to vote in our poll

Poll: Who should win Lithuania’s Eurovizija.LT 2024?

You can vote for as many songs as you’d like, but you can only vote one time. Be sure to tick the box next to every act you want to support before pressing submit.

Eurovizija.LT 2024 finalists

Click on the song titles to listen to each song.

The final will feature VB Gang, with its frontman Vidas Bareikis, one of the most successful current-day Lithuanian artists, coming back to the Lithuanian Eurovision pre-selection — however, it’s only his first grand final!

Queens of Roses have made it to the grand final for the first time as well. Year after year of delivering strong performances, the Lithuanian Little Mix are set to put up a tough fight for the trophy.

Quartet Il Senso and Justė Kraujelytė (part of Pluie De Comètes) will return to the grand final stage for the second time in a row. Both reached the Pabandom iš Naujo 2023 grand final.

Žalvarinis previously told Lithuania’s Eurovision 2005 commentator that they would never take part in the contest. Luckily, they’ve changed their mind 19  years later and are now set to compete for the honour of flying Lithuania’s flag in Malmö.

The newcomers to the selection — Aistè, Shower, and Silvester Belt — are this year’s breakthrough acts. Silvester’s “Luktelk” is currently at the top of the betting odds for Eurovizija.LT 2024 and the favourite to head to Malmö on behalf of Lithuania. If Silvester did make to Eurovision, it would only be the fourth time in 30 years that a Lithuanian act has sung in their beautiful national language.

Lastly, we will see a repeat of a duel between Monika Marija and The Roop. Both acts previously competed in the 2018 and 2020 Lithuanian finals. With both of them being extremely high televote earners in previous finals, it makes us raise the question: are “Unlove You Starting Tomorrow” and “Simple Joy” their best entries yet?

Who is your favourite from the Eurovizija.LT 2024 line-up? Does Lithuania have a Eurovision winner in the mix? Let us know in the comments below.

We have a running order.

Aistè – “We Will Rule the World”
Žalvarinis – “Gaud? v?jai” (The winds are blowing)
Pluie de Comètes – “Be careful”
Silvester Belt – “Luktelk” (Wait)
VB Gang – “Kaboom!!!”
Il Senso – “Time”
Shower – “Impossible”
Monika Marija – “Starting tomorrow”
Queens of Roses – “Walk Through Fire”
The Roop – “Simple Joy”

This is one of those national final years where I could write an essay on the cultural depths of each of the songs. There’s a lot to unpack in this final, and there is quite a lot to like. The Roop still brings a “dance craze” and a song that has just enough content in it to win over a jury. Monika Marijia is my personal favourite artist from Lithuania, and she really deserves to represent them one year, because she has such an emotive voice. Queens of Roses get better every time I see and hear them. There’s a… Read more »

They should send Silvester. Catchy song and sung and performed really well.

Who will and who should are two different questions. Sadly, I very much see Vidas Bareikis mobilizing his wet teenage army and voting for him in the Superfinal. The Roop can snitch on victory as well. Although, let’s be honest, the song is decent but nothing ground-breaking. I’d lean towards Silvester Belt just for the sake of variety (based on what we’ve already sent to the contest in the timelapse of 30 years). It seems like the most polished performance and overall package for the Eurovision Song Contest. I’d love to see Shower too, but while their song is pretty,… Read more »

I would like to think that the jury will not allow “Kaboom!!!” in the superfinal, even if they finish high with televoting. I think that Silvester will beat The Roop from what I’m reading and hearing from most Lithuanian fans.

It seems highly likely the Roop will win this. As all the jury’s are from the Lithuanian music industry, as the Roop is one of their biggest act. I can’t see them scoring them anything lower than number 1. And the jury score thumps the public vote.

Actually no – this year we have a revamped voting system, where the jury+public vote will determine the top3 and then out of the 3, the public will choose the winner.

Silvester has this in the bag. I’m just not sure how this will do in Malmo, as much as I like the song, I’m not sure if people will connect with it enough to vote. It’s a decent pop song, but is that enough?

There hasn’t been a solo male bop selected or released yet so it could stand out on that regard. Lithuania also has a cushion of points to nab from the uk and Ireland and diasporas in other countries so it could still qualify at the very least.

Whatever result it gets in the end, Lithuania will have no shame sending Silvester Belt if he wins this Saturday.

I was scribbling out a preliminary NF top 50 list on Sunday and was surprised at how many Lithuanian songs were on there, because it *feels* like a much weaker field than last year to me. Unfortunately, they sent most of my favorites home in the semis. The last ones standing for me are Silvester and Aiste. I hope Silvester will win.

I wish people were not so fooled by The Roop. They need to get humbled this year for literally blocking people out of their official instagram for not blindly and fangirlingly cheering for them. I myself got blocked from their official insta for saying that I dont think it’s their time this year and someone else deserves it now. So much arrogance for someone who is constantly rambling about positivity and a good spirit. Therefore I will be cheering for Silvester twice as much. Seems like they went into this selection thinking it’ll be a landslide victory but woopsie, they… Read more »

Oh so you cant handle criticism? As a PROFESSIONAL ARTIST? Thats kinda sad to see how we live in times no criticism is allowed. I did not even explicitly say Silvester. If an artist starts blocking fans, there’s definitely an issue there, especially if they are relying so much on their social media, like The Roop seem to do. I’ve been following them since 2020 but I’ve started sensing some arrogant behaviours recently and after the above comments, I’ve now decided to unfollow them. It’s a shame when an artist starts becoming more narrow minded. Critique and commentary can often be well intended.

Silvester music sounds fine, but as lithuanian speaking the actual lyrics is crap, he just sings random words like there are no sentences, no proper meaning. It’s is so bad grammatically, really awkward to listen. Rather send VB gang.

Tell me you can’t understand the lyrics without telling me you can’t understand the lyrics. Yes, the words are simple, for the sole reason of being memorable to foreign viewers (as confirmed by Silvester himself), but they’re not random at all. There’s actually quite an apparent growth in the song as it starts with the grief of separation with the loved one to being hopeful and uplifting.

Well, I am Lithuanian as well and really have to disagree with you here. If the lyrics aren’t literal, doesn’t mean there isn’t a metaphorical meaning/story. To me, the song speaks about the repetetiveness of life, indecisiveness, seeking for your identity and the need to be understood by another.
It isn’t as literal as the Roops “cups of coffee and voice of mother”, but it is still meaningful – you just have to wonder and seek for the meaning yourself as you often have to in works of art, be it music, poetry or whatever.

I love how eurofans doubt that Silvester is capable of defeating The Roop, meanwhile Luktelk is absolutely everywhere (I can hear it playing daily from balconies and cars in my neighborhood) and Simple Joy is nowhere to be heard. The Roop has been getting quite some hate here in Lithuania, seems like a lot of people are fed up with them. They still have some lurking fans and can still win, but it won’t be a landslide.

Eurofans are usually obsessed with returning acts (see Keiino for example this year). The fact that The Roop are behind Silvester in every fan poll is a good sign how better of a choice he is. After reading comments by Lithuanians I’m feeling quite confident that “Luktelk” will win, especially in an all televoting superfinal.

Have in mind that Luktelk and Kaboom have one to four weeks of advantage in terms of views. Simple Joy and Walk Through Fire came last. It’s an indicator that Luktelk is popular, but not a big evidence of its advantage in televoting. Especially since we know that not all of these views come from Lithuania, and unlike in Czechia and Norway, *all* of their televoters will.

That is a fair point , the week 1 qualifiers do have a major leg up compared to the other finalists, but at the same time luktelk is truly ahead of the curve while the rest of the songs haven’t even cracked the six digits (although I expect simple joy to reach 100,000 K in a day or two). In fact, while Luktelk and kaboom were both released at the same time, the Luktelk has obtained over twice as many views as kaboom in the same period of time. So it is clear who the front runner is.

If you ask me, those wishes aren’t very simple joys.

It’s clearly inspired by K pop and Eurobeat, featuring Korean lyrics – something never had before at Eurovision. Overall the song is intended to be very chaotic especially at the end with the dancers.

It’s a rather nice final selection. For the most part, the right songs made it through, even if we did lose a couple of good songs, like New Years, Blood on Your Hands, Dragons and Rainbows, Rock My Body, ect. Lithuania has five good options – Silvester Belt, Monika Marija, The Roop, VB Gang, and Shower. It literally has the most options it ever had, a total of 4.

Silvester or VB Gang both have the most polished Eurovision ready performances, so I don’t mind either depending on what Lithuania wants to send. VB Gang are in whereas Silvester is dark and mysterious.

Just please don’t send the Roop again!

Luktelk is definitely the best option here

While The Roop has a great song here, there are songs/acts I like even more: Silvester Belt, Queens of Roses and Žalvarinis are my top 3.

Luktelk… no competition. Modern song with an international appeal while maintaining a Lithuanian identity. Anything else would be a major disappointment.

My personal choice: “Simple Joy”
Most realistic and logical choice: “Luktelk”

Both will end up in my top 10 anyways.

Luktelk is a very nice song, but I think Kaboom! is the way to go here. It would definitely qualify in ESC and stand out. It’s also much better musically and performance-wise than Finland. Plus Lithuania has never sent anything as crazy as that. So why not?

They tried in 2020 but bats had other plans for humanity.

Finland already filled the joke acts gap, no need for other stuff in that vein.

Me too!

It would also be the first Eurovision song with Korean lyrics!

I really dont want to see a performer dry humping the stage trying to be funny as part of the stage performance. Please no VB Gang

Very underwhelming NF. Everything sounds very pedestrian. Luktelk is the best but I don’t see Lithuania in my Top 10 this year.
