Dilara Kazimova is back doing what Dilara does best. Azerbaijan’s Eurovision 2014 star never needs a dance anthem or big high notes, yet she still finds a way to capture us all with her music. Her new single “Dream” does this better than ever. It’s calming, it’s haunting and it lulls you to sleep (in a good way).
Dilara “Dream” Official Music Video
The artsy music video feels very Sia. Although that face paint is all Dilara. The chorus consists of nothing more than the line “you were just a dream” repeated countless times, but the video’s red smoke and holograms help keep our attention for the full four minutes.
Her dance moves and vocals point to Jamala, who was able to win Eurovision 2016 with a similar sounding song. So who’s complaining?
“Dream” isn’t particularly radio friendly and it certainly isn’t to everyone’s taste, but there’s no denying that Dilara is doing her. And that’s all that matters!

JonathanUK, don’t be stup..hmm naive, ‘her’ entry was written in Sweden and by the swedes, hence it was adorable.. for someone.
I can’t help being left a little disappointed. I find the video far surpasses the song in terms of credibility but even then, there’s something missing. I love the feel of the song but I didn’t get any major feels from it. It just struck me as fairly bland. (Monotonous chorus!!)
It’s a shame because I adored her Eurovision entry!! Even live, I thought it was good!
i like it, but i’m missing the ”WOW!” feeling. A good, but somehow empty song.
Better than her the ESC song. So good. Beautiful and haunting. 🙂
It`s boring song I like dynamic songs. Isn`t my taste, sorry:(
I don’t like it sorry :/
