And then there were 16! Junior Eurovision executive superviser Vladislav Yakolev has today confirmed that San Marino — the launch pad for teen dreams Michele Perniola and Anita Simoncini — will sing at JESC 2015!
Vladislav made the confirmation via Twitter:

San Marino at Junior Eurovision
The beautiful Republic made its debut in the contest in 2013, when Michele Perniola went all Michael Jackson on us with his song “O-o-O Sole intorno a me”, ultimately finishing tenth.
The following year SMRTV cobbled together The Peppermints, a five-piece girl group. They continued Michele’s 80s fab with their song “Breaking My Heart”, eventually placing 15th.
Anita — the only San Marinese member of the Peppermints — later teamed up with Michele for Eurovision 2015.
Thrilled by the news? Who do you think San Marino will field this year?
As someone below mentioned, imagine if they picked the runner-up of the Italian selection process! Hahahaha!!! Hilarious yet awkward.
Hopefully they pick someone WITHIN San Marino. Just not someone from The Peppermints — nothing against them, but it’s a bit tiring to see San Marino use the same singers over & over again.
I was expecting 4 San Marino to confirm the participation 4 the Junior Vision of Bulgaria…Even too late on the last days of Septemer that the deadline finishes..
Now we have 16 participant countries in Bulgaria’s Minion Vision 🙂
We will see in the next 3 days if countries like Sweden,Croatia will confirm participation as well 🙂
Maybe we can still equal the record of the most participant countries in JESC that is 18.. We need just 2 more countries to join us 🙂
What about Germany?
Here’s my list of options.
* Rebecca Toschi
* Clara Palmeri
* Beatrice Coltella
* Sophia de Rosa
* Claudia Ciccateri
* Antonio Licari
I hope that if they don’t find another kid like Anita that it is native from San Marino, that at least they send someone that was in TI lascio una canzone, I don’t know maybe runner-up Giovanni for example 😛 just a thinking!
I really want Sweden to take part…
I think that’s it! Tomorrow the full participants of JESC 2015 will be released and I think that there will be no surprises.
Debut: Ireland
Comeback: Albania, FYR Macedonia
Withdraw: Croatia, Cyprus, Sweden
Countries: 16
-Albania
-Armenia
-Belarus
-Bulgaria
-Georgia
-Ireland
-Italy
-FYR Macedonia
-Malta
-Montenegro
-Russia
-San Marino
-Serbia
-Slovenia
-The Netherlands
-Ukraine
My country will never debut here…Australia won’t debut also I think and Spain (TVE) said today that they won’t be back at JESC this year 🙁 But 16 countries are still good 🙂
If Australia don t respond from invite from EBU to join in Junior Eurovison 2015 and dont send singer at JESC , I don t want to see Australia next year at Eurovision 2016, maybe as guest in 65 th, 70 th … Eurovision song contest.
@ Eugene:
Only 16 interested? Did you know the limit of participating countries in the Junior is just 18?
And yay for San Marino! Again 16 countries in :).
Cool! Another western country in.
@ Cash @ Lee: Israel is NOT in: http://eurofestivaleuropeo.blogspot.de/2015/03/republica-checa-e-israel-no-estaran-en.html
FINALLY, butt i knowed that San Marino would’not stop. I AM JUST WAITING FOR SWEDEN!
YES
Is Israel coming back?
I think it’s great that we’re at Super Sixteen! But San Marino need to step away from this 70s pop and kinda move towards more modern songs. They have some great kids singing for them, but the songs…
I mean, I ADORED their 2013 entry a lot, but then 2014 just seemed a bit been there, done that..
Hurray!
