Very soon, Lithuania will decide on its entrant for Eurovision 2024 in Malmö through their newly-renovated national final, Eurovizija.LT 2024.

But before we discover who will represent the Baltic nation in Sweden, it’s time to see who our readers want to see take the victory.

After opening our poll, 2,045 votes were submitted. We’ve counted and verified the results, and now we’re ready to share them!

Silvester Belt is a favourite to win Eurovizija.LT 2024

You have overwhelmingly named Silvester Belt as the one you’d like to see win. He earned a little over half of the total votes, with exactly 1,100 votes — a 53.79% share of the total.

If he were to win, “Luktelk” would be the fourth time in thirty years that Lithuania would be sending an entry to Eurovision in their native language.

The sleek pop number has kept the top position in Lithuania’s Spotify Top 50 and held firm at the top of the odds. We will see if it all coalesces very soon.

In second place, we have some familiar faces. The Roop are back after their victories in 2020 and 2021.

This time they’ve entered the song “Simple Joy”, and it took home 457 of the votes in our poll — 22.35% of the total.

The Roop decisively won the most recent Eurovizija.LT heat, and soon we will see if they can add a third victory to their cap.

In third place is VB Gang with the K-Pop inspired entry “Kaboom!!!”. The group picked up 148 votes, which is 7.24% of the total.

Led by Vidas Bareikis, one of the most popular Lithuanian singers at the current time, he hopes his eclectic entry can turn into a Eurovision participation.

Full results: Who should win Eurovizija.LT 2024?

  1. Silvester Belt – “Luktelk” | 53.79% (1,100 votes)
  2. The Roop – “Simple Joy” | 22.35% (457 votes)

Silvester has good beat but if you translated the lyrics you would see it is about nothing- the song has no meaning.

You clearly have no reading comprehension. It’s about a person who doesn’t show enough efort and love for their other half and wonders if that other half will stay together another day. Even if I’m not a fan of that song I just can’t say it’s about nothing.

einu tai šen, einu tai ten – I go here I go there, not very creative though. He just was too find better words to translate the message pf the song.

Assuming The Roop’s song is a masterpiece in its lyrics. Really? “Like the smell of coffee / The feeling of sunlight on my face / The calming voice of mother / A morning with my lover.” Morelike, singing what I see: coffee on a table, sunlight shining bright and clear, if the world today is over then I have nothing else to do (genius, you may say!), etc. At least “Luktelk” has the spice “Simple Joy” doesn’t – it wouldn’t get lost in Malmo because it would be the only song in Lithuanian with a modern touch in EDM. But… Read more »

Who assumed those lyrics were a masterpiece though, besides you now? Both lyrics are weak.

The Roop’s song has strong “fire-desire” vibes lol. Not some people calling it a lyrical masterpiece…

Being a lazy or not creative lyrics writer and the song being about nothing are two different things. I’m not arguing that lyrics are lazy or uncreative, they are. But the song itself is not about nothing.

Luktelk is dark and captivating. Quite a rare combo for an EDM track. It’s very interesting. Hope it wins.

I really hope Silvester wins. Ive loved Luktelk from the first listen/view. Quality song. Many years ago there was a massive European hit by Desireless called Voyage Voyage. Luktelk gives me the same vibes pure pop joy.

This guy would be great choice for Malmö. “Luktelk” sounds captivating, a dance track in minor beats, Perfect !

I hope we aren’t getting a surprise winner. The Roop victory would be undeserved and based only on their establishment, while the VB Gang would be a mockery in the face of everyone. Anyone but Silvester Belt and Shower would be a step down from what LRT has been building up since 2020. Vote for the best song overall, not the most-friendly boomer song only.

I don’t get the downvotes lol, I just don’t understand why it’s so loved as if we have our next Euphoria… I didn’t even say anything bad about the song

I suppose it’s the right choice in this field and I do like that it’s in Lithuanian, that makes it somewhat special.

This is a MUST !
This year is such a flop, odds are missing almost in every selection. But I sure as shxt hope that they are right with this one.
The Roop needs to be humbled.

National final odds are missing every year, this year was actually one of the more precise ones.

I really hope Lithuania choose Silvester Belt. He’s really cute, his song is fresh, catchy and so now. I don’t want to see The Roop once again

Juries won’t be the deciding factor this year. Both juries and televoters will decide which three acts will go to the superfinal and then just televoters will decide the final winner.
