The Belrusian broadcaster BTRC has announced the 15 semi finalists who will go head to head in the national semi-final to be held on December 21. Among them is Anna Vinnikova, Belarus’ 2011 contestant and one-time recipient of Wiwi’s ‘Eurovision Babe of the Day‘ honors.
The 15 candidates and the songs they will sing are:
1. Thriller – Message To The World
2. Gunesh – And Morning Will Come
3. Litesound – We Are The Heroes
4. The Champions – Its Your Time
5. Uzari – The Winner
6. Nuteki – Superheroes
7. Aleksandra Gaiduk and Nataliya Baldina – Loveless
8. German – Keep Fight
9. Anastasiya Vinnikova – Shining In Twilight
10. Ekivoki – Number One
11. Yan Zhenchak and Outerplain – A Point Of No Return
12. Victoria Aleshko – Dream
13. Alena Lanskaya – All My Life
14. Aura – Hands Up
15. Anna Blagova – You
Only five will advance to the final set for January 2012 via a combination of a professional jury and tele-voting. Of the 15 semi-finalists, Anastasiya Vinnikova is already a familiar face as she represented Belarus in Dusseldorf this year with the patriotic dance number “I love Belarus—basically a communist wet dream. It earned her a disappointing 14th place in the semi-finals. Looks like the rest of Europe didn’t share her love of the place!
