It’s official. Loreen’s Eurovision hit “Euphoria” simply shouldn’t be covered at X Factor competitions throughout Europe.

After Julia Plaksina in Ukraine and Antal Timi in Hungary, it was Iulia Manolache’s turn to massacre “Euphoria” on X Factor Romania. Combining Plaksina’s lackluster English and Timi’s questionable vocal abilities, Manolache delivered a performance that was an offence to both the poetry and the melody of the song. The ridiculous back-up dancers, stolen from a 1980s Bonnie Tyler video, deserve special attention: they somehow manage to make a contemporary song seem dated. Bless the YouTube user who captured Iulia Manolache’s “performance” and subtitled the messed-up lyrics for our full entertainment. She’s not going u-u-u-u-up. She’s going oh-oh-oh-oh-ohhhh.

Girls, we understand that you love the song (who doesn’t?), but please stop trying to cover it if you ain’t got what it takes! Do we have to start a petition? What makes Manolache’s cover even more embarrassing is that she performed it the same night that Loreen graced the X Factor Romania stage. As usual, she brought the house down with “Euphoria” and “My Heart Is Refusing Me”.

Not the worst, of course. She has a good voice, but need to work on the pronunciation.

I am glad to report that Iulia’s reign of terror came to an end. She was eliminated from the contest on Saturday.

I prefer Rachel’s version (junior songcontest) the best, the KID did it way better the these adults together!

If you had to choose, Wiwi, which one of these 3 girls did the best cover of Euphoria?
