Aram MP3 sings that he’s “Not Alone.” But at Eurovision he will be—for three minutes at least.

During a press conference held earlier today in Yerevan, Armenia’s head of delegation Gohar Gasparyan revealed that the Eurovision favourite will brave the stage by himself—without any dancers or backing.  “We decided to Aram Mp3 be alone on stage. It will be more spectacular,” she said. “Certainly, new lighting technologies will make an interesting show. There will be no backing vocalists.”

She also revealed details about Aram’s stage costume, saying that his costume “is somehow similar to the video image.”

You’ve all seen the official video already. But the team from wiwibloggs.com recently filmed Aram Mp3 performing at the London Eurovision Party. He looked great in a green suit. In the video below you can hear him sing a cover of Martin Solveig’s “Jealosy” and his Eurovision number “Not Alone”. Enjoy!

Armenia may not be my favorite but I really would like “Alone” to at least reach Top 10 in grand-finals. This detail is rather worrying though. The background props and lighting better great otherwise it will be forgotten after 2 hours.

It’s funny when people say ” If his show be simple then he won’t qualify ” ..Like WTF , people who like this song will vote . FOR EXAMPLE -> Let’s imagine you love UK’s song and hate Belarus’ one .During ESC ,let’s imagine UK puts a boring show and Belarus a fantastic show ..SOO y’all want to say that you are going to vote for Belarus just because it has a cool show? Then why do singers represent their song like 2-3 months before ESC? Maybe they should have kept it in secret and show it exactly at ESC… Read more »

If it was me representing Ireland with ‘Not Alone’, I would jump out of an exploding car on stage when the dubstep part kicked in and there would be smoke machines. It would be like watching 21 Jump Street in 3D.

Deven O'Kearney

I really want Aram to do something like jump out of a car on fire in Copenhagen and he can do some serious damage in semi final 1. However like I said, If there is no proper staging, he could easily fail to qualify because a song like this needs to be staged properly.

@This Is My Opinion
Oh goodness!
You are still talking about Aram’s screaming? Get it through your head, everyone who loves that song, especially loves the screaming part. Why do you care so much to bash his song? No one cares! Every single contestant this year mentioned that they like “Not Alone.” So you think they are all stupid? What’s your problem? I actually pity you now. Honestly, you can’t change people’s taste. Give up! You’re not writing your opinion. You just have a mission to “kill” Aram’s song. Move on!!

timselvision, same here – nothing to do with armenia either but i will be voting for them! but hey, us western europeans tend to choose a good song rather than a country near us, dont we? haha:) glad you like molly, would love it to be here next year!!!

ofcourse he is going to be all alone on stage with that song screaming like devil abusing his throat, what would you expect, dancers around him or something, no that is not necessary, because he would disable anyone to perform with him on stage with that sound that noise coming from godzila throat

It doesn’t really matter how he’s going to stage it – it is going to be FANTASTIC anyway. But I was actually hoping there would be the drummers or the violin players from the video…

Good choice it will draw full attention on him. From what I have seen voters are more inclined nowadays to favour persons instead of complex arrangements.

Have A Closure Look At the Eurovision Stage and How it Works

Aram has always done so well all by himself. This is why he was given his MP3 nickname. He always keeps his audience busy watching and listening. He’s an entertainer!! So don’t worry. Also, being alone on the stage doesn’t mean theyre not going to use the screens, and who knows, they might be showing some stuff???? which will be interesting together with all those lights.

After the terrible songs from 2011 and 2013 Armenia has something good again (like 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010 :D) and I hope they´ll win. I´ll vote for it from the Netherlands and I´ve got nothing to do with that country, I just love the song and need to listen to it trice a day, at least. Hopefully our 12 points will go to Armenia!

Otherwise UK or Italy should win.

Aram MP3 is a unique person and my favourite this year. His song really stands out and I really like the way it builds from the beginning till the end. Lyrics are simple, but memorable and deep indeed. Yerevan 2015? I think so… 🙂

It is a good idea!
Vocalists usually ruin performence.
Shows with dancers are very often ridiculous .This is not dance music so dancers would have to dance something boring .
If they can have same light effect as in the video it will be gorgeous show.I do want to see some violin though.Well let’s see.I feel that they keep something in secret hmmmm .

Yes!!! I’m so happy he will perform alone. I usually hate the whole act with some stupid dancers that make no sense.
I’m sooo excited now to see his performance because the song is amazing.

Armenia could easily fail to qualify from semi final 1 if there is no sense of staging in the semi final.

I heard that Aram is going to have a car on stage which he will jump out of in the chorus and then it will explode and then there will be dancing ghosts wearing RayBan shades. After that he will lay on the floor pretending to be a fish on land, then he will jump to the water surrounding the stage for a swim.

I still don’t get the hype behind his song. It sounds way too stuck in a trend that blew over 2 years ago in pop music.

If I had to choose between Sweden and Armenia, I’d totaly go for Armenia. They deserve it more. Sweden already had it many times and their song is growing hideous. However, Aram’s performance in Amsterdam was weak. The stage didn’t help him, but did it help anybody? I like the song, I love the sound, and the impressive B&W stage wil surely give him a hand. But he needs to rehearse and improve a lot because let’s face it, he is not Mihai Traistariu. By the way, I believe I’ve never met an armenian expat in my entire life. I’m… Read more »

Rashad said “Here is a tip for you Aram. You should feature that kissing couple in your stage performance.”
Can I add to Rashad’s tip ? Make the couple both men that would prove once and for all that he’s no homophobe. Still not winning though.

@Ryanireland ..those songs were bad for you- not for everyone. You overestimate influence of diaspora.., i repeat, their help is so insignificant that it didn’t help Dorians to get in the top 10 and Emmy in the final. What neighbors did you mean? Turkey? Azerbaijan? Lol There is only Georgia and yes, i think they’ll give Aram the 12. ‘Not Alone’ is a great song after all.

Spain can not do that.I was in Spain I saw how bad situation was there. It cost lots of money.Give it to England(UK) this year. They want that alot. They always were ignored ,but this year they put lots of effort into ESC. Song is cool,.country has budget to do that.World is in Crisis so be realistic ; ) .Many European countries do not even have money to participate in ESC. The fact that you participate is already good. Just have fun. Peace out.

@ wergie. Watch the language 🙁 tut tut, if you read my comment I said he will be helped by diaspora and neighbours!! Nothing negative at all so you cut it out, without the bad mind. As for Emmy and Dorians there songs weren’t good, and if you look at the voting the still received points from countries with traditionally Armenian diaspora as well as friendly neighbours, so check your facts before you go shouting out profanities my friend

He just needs the audio mixing and the camerawork to be reasonable and he’ll be fine. He’s one of the most capable singers in the contest.

Apart from Amaury messing up vocally in 2011, the audio mixing was just absolutely terrible in Dusseldorf, so it’s no wonder that “Sognu” sounded weak on stage. The strings sounded like an orchestra far off in the distance. The camerawork also wandered around like the performance wasn’t a big deal.

Wergie

@Ryanireland remember Emmy and Dorians? So ffs, cut the bs about diaspora.

Marcelo N

Good decision. There’s something tiring and really distracting every time so many stage acts get a couple of contemporary dancers taking up space. And I expect his vocals will be solid, as he is a good singer.
Oh, wait… maybe this was also “lost in translation” and there is a world campaign against him again? (sorry, I just had to write that!)

Yup Armenia will be in top 5 ,but won’t win..At least I want so.I want UK to win and Armenia be the second .I know Armenia is definitely able to organise ESC ,however these years lots of sh*t goes on under ESC ……Moreover people want that 60 years of ESC be celebrated specially .They want it to be cooler than cool .I know that realtively only UK(England)can do that and they have good song as well.Neither Sweden nor Norway can not do that again, Hungery’s economy is full of problems as well. I support my country <3 and Aram .I… Read more »

Here is a tip for you Aram. You should feature that kissing couple in your stage performance. I still believe that the reason why there is so much fuss around Aram MP3 is that scene in the video. Kissing always works, and it’s emotional. It worked out with Turkey in 2010. It would do well with Armenia as well. Anyway, good luck Aram!

Armenia will be helped by diaspora votes and neighbours , he will be totally on show and I reckon he will flake it, can’t see him winning, it doesn’t have winner written on it all, in fact I think it’s overrated! Top 5 maybe, but more like top 10 I reckon, good luck anyway 🙂

I am sure that the lighting will be spectacular and that the vocals will be good. But I think he should have been accompanied by a “mini orchestra” based on violins.
