Life does not end at 34. Just ask Kate Ryan — Belgium’s Eurovision 2006 singer. In January she won the Eurowebdance Award for her floor stomper “Not Alone”. And today she cranked 2015 up another notch by releasing her cover of Robert Francis’ song “Junebug”. Released to celebrate her 15 years in the music business, she shows us that she hasn’t forgotten how to make y’all dance. Slay, mama!
American multi-instrumentalist Robert Francis released “Junebug” in 2009, and it was later covered by Flemish actor and singer Stan Van Samang. Kate created a dance-cover of the song for the VTM program ‘LiefdeVoorMuziek‘ (LoveForMusic), where six Flemish artists battle by covering each other’s music. You can watch a snippet with Kate’s performance from the show here.
Kate Ryan: 15 years of music
Kate Ryan is in the middle of her 15th anniversary as a musical artist. In 2001 her career took flight with the release of ‘Scream For More‘. In the years that followed she released hits like ‘Désenchantée‘, ‘Voyage voyage‘, Ella elle l’a and of course her Eurovision 2006 entry ‘Je t’adore‘.
On April 4, 2015 she will celebrate her long career with a performance at the ’15 years of Kate Ryan’ (MNM 90’s party). A while ago this Flemish fashionita also launched her own shoe line as celebration of….herself.
Come see me live in Antwerp (BE) on April 4th 2015 ! Xxx

“Kate officially released ‘Junebug‘ as her latest single on Tuesday” – no she didn’t. It’s not her latest single. Just a track for program.
That’s wrong information, She DID NOT released it as her single, it’s just released for the ‘LiefdeVoorMuziek‘ show, it’s not her new single. She just released it as a track. Nothing else.
So unfair that poor Kate Ryan did not manage to qualify to the final in Vision of Athens back in 2006…Her song was fantastic! <3
We had the gay pop anthems like *Je T adore* of Kate Ryan & *Invincible* of Carola but just a gimmics act with masquerade suits got the victory instead..
One of her 3 male guy dancers was so hot! <3 Definitely one of the hottest dancers i have witnessed ever in Euro Vision! <3
