“Wars for Nothing”, but flashmobs for something. Boggie, who will represent Hungary at Eurovision in Vienna, has announced that she will stage a singing flashmob tour from 18 April. Just like in the official video for “Wars for Nothing”, she would like to sing her song with fans from all over Europe — and that means you! The tour will snake through seven cities: Amsterdam, London, Berlin, Paris, Rome, Stockholm and of course the host city Vienna.
In recent weeks Boggie has been rather quiet, but now she is filling the silence with this fabulous idea. It builds on her earlier work. Prior to A Dal 2015, Boggie made a lovely video for her song, where she sang together with people in the heart of Budapest. It was just for fun, but eventually became her official video.
Boggie on the Flashmob
It is a very exciting mission and of course great fun to play music on the most beautiful squares of Europe together with my friend Milán Szakonyi who will also stand on stage with me in Vienna. Nevertheless, this action also has a deeper meaning. While I sing this song, I sing it for and in the name of many of us. To perform it together with strangers and the fact that people are willing to become part of it, is a great symbol of the need for unity and of course for the power of music. I cannot wait to stand on the Eurovision stage in Vienna but until then I want to spread my song and its message as far as I can.
