Everyone is raving about Armenia’s Genealogy after their first rehearsal, and the members were still in high spirits when we interviewed them shortly afterwards.
Mary-Jean said that she’s “inspired by everyone in the band” and that it pushes her to be “as excellent as (she) can be”, with Stephanie also saying that they “help each other out a lot”. That bond caused problems for Tamar Kaprelian: She missed her flight because she was busy texting the other band members! “I was telling them how excited I was to see them…and then I looked at my ticket and I was like ‘oh crap!'”
They may indeed be individual artists but we are loving this group!

Well it seems that i belong to the minority that i like Armenia’s song this year.. But i do not care really.. Its really nice song… I have it currently as my 11th most liked song of the 40 & as my 5th most liked on the 1st SF.. Hopefully Geneaology will manage to qualify to the big final.. 🙂 At least i find it a better song than last year’s so overrated *Not Alone*.. I LOVED their song (apart from the Disney princess part in the middle). I LOVE the vocals, and they all shine on their own and as a group! the 40s clip was awesome..
I’m rather surprised that Inga did not speak English tho, as her first song was half-English and this one is fully English…
It’s so conflicting because you have six excellent singers who are likely to be among the best vocally, but I just don’t like the song at all… gosh I guess we’ll see what happens…
They are all just really likeable people. I can’t wait to see the whole song. If they sing like in that 30 second clip, this could be a top 5 contender.
