After dropping the single “Chisinau-Verona” last month, Moldovan Eurovision star Pasha Parfeny has released the accompanying video. Over the course of three and a half minutes he introduces us to his flat, his cat, and his dudes. We’re happy to meet all of them.

Although the song focuses on his girl leaving him for Verona, the video centers on how Pasha deals with her departure, namely by going on a roadtrip with his homies, hanging out with them poolside, taking selfies, drinking and singing on the giant Chisinau sign at the entrance of the Moldovan capital. The morning finds him sleeping with his friends in their vintage convertible. (No, we’re not jelly. At all.) Oh and there’s a happy ending: turns out the break up was temporary and his girlfriend comes home to find him cuddling with their adorable cat. Aww!

Part of the video was filmed in the singer’s apartment and may we just say, Pasha and his fiancée and fellow songwriter Yuliana Scutaru have good taste, y’all! Our only regret is that the video doesn’t feature Pasha’s close collaborator and friend Aliona Moon, who is providing the backing vocals.

What do you think about the video and Pasha’s crib? And do you also think, like one of our readers suggested, that a Pasha Parfeny – Aliona Moon duet could bring back Moldova to the Eurovision final?

Pasha is brilliant & should represent Moldova again.
He should go solo though. Pasha does not need Aliona.

Pasha and Aliona ought to do an edgy duet for next year.
