This April we launched Alternative Eurovision, our search to determine the best other song by our beloved Eurovision 2016 artists. In semi-final two we offered you women in tiaras, men in dresses, native Americans in fluorescent paint, and a whole lot more. Nineteen acts competed, but only ten can make it to the grand finale – decided purely by your votes, cast from all over Europe, and beyond.
During the seven-day voting period you guys cast a total of 3,121 votes. In order to preserve the integrity of the grand final voting, we aren’t revealing the breakdown of the votes just yet. But we are revealing the 10 qualifiers — and in random order. They are…
Lithuania: Donny Montell “Wicked Games”

Ireland: Westlife “Uptown Girl”

Belgium: Laura Tesoro “Outta Here”
Ukraine: Jamala “It’s Me, Jamala”

Latvia: GACHO “Skills to Party”
Switzerland: Rykka “Movies”
Serbia: ZAA “IRIE&COOL”
Australia: Dami Im “Super Love”
Poland: Michal Szpak “Tic Tac Clock”

Stay tuned for the grand final, coming very soon…
Bulgaria, Ukraine, Australia, Serbia and Lithuania
Poland !!!
Chocked that Serbia and Bulgaria went through instead of Norway and Israel. Even though I prefer Serbia before Israel.
Poland was qualified so I`m happy because I really like Micha? Szpak:)
I’m happy because 4 of the 5 songs I voted have made it to the final: Latvia, Lithuania, Australia and Switzerland. But I don’t understand what happens with Belarus here, “Diamond” is far better than some of the qualified songs such as Bulgaria (I love Poli), Poland, Serbia or Belgium, so unfair! It’s annoying see how underrated is Ivan in every poll, and this song deserved to qualify. At least I’ll have 9 good songs in the final, let’s see what the Big Five brings.
@Mei You must be kidding. Belgium and Ireland have awful songs + Switzerland have great song but Rykka voice isn’t so great
Dami’s is the only song i’ve heard prior and it’s still my favourite – YAAAAAAAAAAAAAS.
I didn’t vote for any of these 10 songs.
I think, Jury’s and Freddie’s alternative songs are the best.
yaaas donny!
I would be happy if this was the real semi final result 🙂

Switch out Norway for Poland and you have this years qualifier in semi 2.
Georgia last? Okay, I expected that.
Happy about Latvia, even though I don’t like the song.
Can’t wait for the final…what song will the UK entrants sing??
