Junior Eurovision 2019 finally goes live at 16:00 CET on Sunday 24 November. The show will broadcast to the world from inside Poland’s Gliwice Arena.
There are many ways to tune in, so there’s really little excuse to miss it… unless you’re in North America.
The available viewing options are detailed below.
Junior Eurovision 2019 on TV
Junior Eurovision 2019 is, first and foremost, a TV contest organised by television broadcasters, specifically public service media outlets who are members or associate members of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).
There are 19 such broadcasters participating in Gliwice. They are:
Albania — RTSH | The Netherlands — AVROTROS |
Armenia — AMPTV | North Macedonia — MKRTV |
Australia — SBS / ABC | Poland — TVP |
Belarus — BRTC | Portugal — RTP |
France — FTV | Russia — RTR |
Georgia — GPB | Serbia — RTS |
Ireland — TG4 | Spain — RTVE |
Italy — RAI | Ukraine — UA:PBC |
Kazakhstan — Khabar Agency | Wales — S4C |
Malta — PBS |
Many of these are multi-network organisations, so fans should consult their local listing to check which channel they should tune into. Some countries, like Poland and Ukraine, are broadcasting the show on more than one network.
Also, while Junior Eurovision goes live at 16:00 CET, some participating broadcasters choose to show deferred coverage in prime time.
For instance, Ireland’s TG4 won’t broadcast the contest on TV until 19:00 local time on Sunday (it will be live on the station’s online player). Australia’s ABC ME will air its coverage at 18:00 local time on Monday 25 November.
Watch Junior Eurovision 2019 online
There are multiple ways to watch Junior Eurovision 2019 online.
Junior Eurovision 2019 Live Steam on YouTube
For most internet users, the easiest way to watch JESC is the YouTube live stream. The official Junior Eurovision channel will broadcast the same feed as TV networks, but without commentary. The link has already gone live. And there is a facility to set a reminder, so you definitely won’t forget to switch on! The stream will remain available to watch after the broadcast has ended.
Alas, the stream appears to be blocked in two countries — the United States and Canada.
Junior Eurovision 2019 on TV On-Demand Players
Most participating broadcasters will simulcast the contest on their online players. Some don’t place geo-blocks on their content, so this may be the best option for North American viewers. The main drawbacks are that you may have to listen to commentary in a language you don’t understand, and some trial and error may be involved before you find a player without geographic restrictions.
Keep an eye out on Twitter if you find yourself desperately in search of a working link. Ask for help on the #JESC2019 hashtag and a tweeting Eurofan will almost always come to your aid.
Typically, these broadcasts will remain available on-demand for a period of time afterwards. The exact time period will vary depending on the network.
Junior Eurovision 2019 on Netflix
Eurovision arrived on Netflix US to some fanfare in the summer of 2019. The deal covers the 2019 and 2020 contests. However, there was no mention of Junior Eurovision. Therefore, it is assumed that JESC 2019 will not be popping up on the streaming giant anytime soon.
How do you plan to watch Junior Eurovision 2019? Will you sit in front of the TV with family and friends? Or will you stream it online while you live-tweet? Let us know in the comments.

Hello
Hello
dear Wiwibloggs, please post the lyrics of “Share the Joy”, I really want to sing along as well…
I’ll probably be watching on Youtube but I hope I won’t be busy xD I’m supposed to be busy at that time (17:00 local time for me here in Israel)
I won’t give up that easily!
Here’s how I do it.
Put the live stream on YouTube and then I join the fun by tweeting along. That’s how I like to be part of Eurovision and Junior Eurovision from home
I only watch it through YouTube as they have the live stream of the event happening, although it’s hard to figure out when to watch from the UK, I still catch it regardless.
It will be on 3 pm in the UK. And most TV packages have S4C if you want to watch it that way.
To people in Sub-Saharan Africa, you can watch the show on television (albeit with Portuguese commentary). Tune into RTP Internacional (DSTV Channel 435) at 17:00 SAST (JESC is not listed on our TV guide, but trust me, it will be shown then). Alternatively, you can watch it on the YouTube live stream, without commentary, at the same time.
If you live in United States but want to watch the show, AMPTV (Armenian broadcaster) has a live stream. Just search for H1 Armenian TV on google and you should be able to watch it.
Adding onto that, the Opera browser has a free VPN and allows Americans to watch Junior Eurovision through the YouTube channel.
RTP Internacional and TVE Internacional have both listed JESC in their schedules outside of Portugal and Spain respectively, so if a US fan has both channels in their cable and satelittle listing, that’s the way to go.
And I expect the former putting the show up on their streaming platform unblocked as well.
I would normally use the opera VPN to watch but sadly, my laptop is getting repaired so I have to use a library computer.
I’ll try your suggestions and hopefully these streams are not geoblocked!
oof, I just realized the show starts 9:00 am in my time zone.
I am not a morning person xD
maybe i’ll just wait until i get my laptop back and watch it after the show ends lol
