Another Eurovision season means that another group of incredibly talented women will sing for their countries in a bid to win Eurovision 2021.
Just like 2020, there are 17 female solo artists, including several returning acts and a few fresh faces. They’ll join 13 male singers, seven bands (possibly eight, depending on what happens with Belarus), one duo and one trio in Rotterdam. But first, it’s time to vote for your favourite female solo singer in this year’s competition.
Who is your favourite? Is it one of those who got re-selected from 2021? Do you prefer a ballad like the ones from Bulgaria or Romania? Or are you more a fan of some uptempo-bops such as Cyprus, Moldova or San Marino? As always, you can vote for whoever you want and as many singers you want. But you can only vote one time, so think about it and make your vote count!
Eurovision 2021 – female solo singer
- Albania’s Anxhela Peristeri – “Karma“
- Australia’s Montaigne – “Technicolour“
- Azerbaijan’s Efendi – “Mata Hari“
- Bulgaria’s Victoria – “Growing Up Is Getting Old“
- Croatia’s Albina – “Tick Tock“
- Cyprus’ Elena Tsagrinou – “El Diablo“
- France’s Barbara Pravi – “Voilà“
- Greece’s Stefania – “Last Dance“
- Ireland’s Lesley Roy – “Maps“
- Israel’s Eden Alene – “Set Me Free“
- Latvia’s Samanta Tina – “The Moon Is Rising“
- Malta’s Destiny – “Je Me Casse“
- Moldova’s Natalia Gordienko – “Sugar“
- Romania’s Roxen – “Amnesia“
- Russia’s Manizha – “Russian Woman“
- San Marino’s Senhit – “Adrenalina“
- Slovenia’s Ana Soklič – “Amen“
Note, for the purposes of this poll, we are counting Senhit as a female soloist rather than a duo with Flo Rida. That’s in accordance with how the San Marino entry is listed by the EBU on Eurovision.tv. Furthermore, Flo Rida will only join Senhit in Rotterdam if circumstances allow him to travel.
Poll: Who is your favourite female solo singer at Eurovision 2021?
[polldaddy poll=10773679]Who is your favourite? Are you backing singer from last year or a fresh face? Let us know in the comment section below!
Destiny.
i prefer that voice like a hurricane from latvia – the one and only queen will slay this year. 🙂
Unpopular opinion but Eden Alene is the best for me. Can’t wait for the revamp to come out
To me, Azerbaijan has the best entry this year.
I can’t help but feel that Bulgaria is awfully underrated amongst fans this year!
Albania and Slovenia have undoubtly the best vocals!
Love them all but voted for my beautiful angel VICTORIA 🙂 I wish good luck to all of our ladies , see you in Rotterdam!
Amazing San Marino’s singer singing Senhit xD
Female singers are the weakest every year. Btw people dont vote for San Marino, coz its a duo. People like their song mostly thanks to Flo Rida. Why is this country in this poll?
Stefania from Greece again desperately post on her Instagram story this link. So number 1 is not objective because we don’t know if she can sing live
she posts every poll she’s in 😀
MIKE watch her singing live on JESC 2016 when she represented the Netherlands. She was only 13 years old back then. Plus there are many videos of her singing live on YouTube.
Ana Soklic, Destiny, and Sanja Vucic (not on the list but deserves a mention, because she’s nailing covers on her IG and YT)
Voted for 3: Victoria, Destiny, Barbara. I also think people are underestimating Manizha.
It’s Barbara Parvi for me, I also like Ireland, Australia, Romania, Greece and Bulgaria.
VICTORIA!
in terms of the voice, Ana!
who is dead last in this poll :S
Yeah, but only because of her boring taste in songs – she’s got talent for sure! – but you kind of need good songs as well.
Yeah, that’s really frustrating with her. She clearly has a great voice, but keeps picking pretty poor songs to show it off. Amen is only slightly better than folder, but not by much. Amen might be one of those songs that could barely scrape into the top 10 of the jury vote, probably ninth or 10th Place, but it will get Sunk by the televote and won’t qualify.
Go Stefania and Greece ??!! Wish u the best !!!
Eden alena followed by destiny
Ana Soklic and Destiny are the best vocalists, but considering also artistry and style, my favorites are Barbara, Roxen and Victoria. So I’ve voted for these 5 ladies, but I like almost all the female solo performers this year.
The best vocalist is eden alene, wait for the revamp of her song
I like her too, hopefully the revamp will give her more room to show her vocals.
I’m having my fingers crossed that the set me free revamp will improve it. It is currently not one of my higher rank songs
Wow that’s pretty hard (I have like 10 in my list lol)
For me the beautiful husky tones of Ana Soklic reign supreme. She is incredible.
Once again shes being totally underrated as an artist.
Albina from Croatia and Barbara from France.
I voted for these 5 queens from: Malta, Croatia, Moldova, San Marino and Romania!
All of them, frankly. Great year for female solo singers at Eurovision, the range and creativity.
So many amazing women this year, and most of them bringing different stuff! I love Victoria and Roxen, they give me a soft vibe I adore. Ana and Anxhela have these super powerful voices I really like – their songs are amazing too and terribly underrated. Eden is absolutely amazing, and she has this great positive energy that will flood the stage. Elena, Senhit, Destiny are also favourites of mine… how to choose?
Miss Pravi 🙂 a class act
Not a fan of Je me casse but time to give credit where it is due. Destiny has a powerful voice and I can see her repeating in Eurovision for Malta in the same way Chiara and Ira Losco did.
There are so many talented and gorgeous female singers this year… What a tough poll!
Ana Soklic and Eden Alene are on another level.
best solo singer/performer: destiny chukunyere
best vocalist: ana soklic
thats the only correct answer
Lol try again
Roxen, Senhit, Lesley for me
Destiny from malta .
Off-top
Bad news from Belarus. They wtote two new songs. Brace yourself, Europe.
That’s really bad news, I was hoping they were going to withdraw somehow.
Two as in they are having a selection after the expiration date? Hmmm? Are the songs out?
They said: “We’ve written like 6 songs; two of them have been sent to the regulator [without clarifying whether it’s the EBU or the local broadcaster]. We’re in the process of the postproduction and making the video(s). Something’s gotta be out by the end of the month”
To sum it up, there’s a detail in their interview. It’s been said that one of these two songs is about “little bunnies” which is a colloquial term for belarusian rubles. Brace yourself for another tongue-and-chick bop about people being bought off to protest against the regime.
Yeesh, that sounds Anti-Semitic to me.
I just hope that they are paying the additional fee for dragging it out. I would think that anyone would after the submission date.
Where did you get this news?
http://www.ctv.by/pro-zaychikov-budet-pesnya-naprimer-avtor-golosov-zmesta-o-evrovidenii-novyh-tekstah-i-reshenii-evs
Well, im waiting for the new revamp and video clip from israel, the change will be huge
Yes, Eden is one of the most talentful girls here, I really hope they will pull off a Feker Libi/Roots type of revamp
Me too but then people will complain that she did too much like previous songs…
People will complain anyway, so just let them talk, we don’t feel hate!
We just feel sorry
Elena – Cyprus
All of them are good, but my favourites are:
Manizha (Russia)
Roxen (Romania)
Efendi (Azerbaijan)
Senhit (San Marino)
To those voting my comments down: I don’t really understand the reasoning for voting comments down that are just expressing my opinions on songs in a song contest, without any other intention. If you do not share the same opinion with me on a certain issue, that’s completely fine, as we all have our own opinion. However, disliking comments of other people no matter the content is just disrespectful and childish. I don’t even have the desire to share my opinions anymore, because I already know that no matter what I write, my comments will be voted down again. I’ve… Read more »
Since you have not included Malta it’s a crime lol. I’ll teach you how to love Destiny song : rigged odds, paid promotion and more.
AhAhha downvotes of course. Only 9 bots Malta ?
High level of relentlessness against Malta right here, again. Why are you bringing the country and Destiny here ? KRM didn’t even mentionned them.
And that’s so funny to see you write ‘paid promotion’. ‘Cause of course, the different means of promoting something or someone are all free. Everybody knows that…
I really feel you and agree so much with your reasoning, but that’s also the part of the game. Our opinions will always be disliked by a few people, even if it is unfair and useless. We can’t change that.
However, I really still don’t get why people dislike your comments if they’re wise and positive. You’re saying nothing wrong or negative against any country.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Ellen. Just some hours ago, my comment was liked by 6 people. In only a matter of some hours, this happened.. And it’s not about saying anything positive or negative.. my comments will be voted down, no matter what I write, given that during the last pots, I showed support for Efendi and/or Azerbaijan. Believe me, I’m not begging for likes. As you said, people can also in worst case vote comments down, if they do not agree with them, but the issue here is the fact that I have supported Efendi/Azerbaijan.… Read more »
I suggest stop caring. Don’t let them have so much power over you, they are not important in any way.
You’re welcome. And yes I noticed that. I was among the ones that liked your comment escpecially for writing ‘All of them are good’. ‘Cause, indeed, the female artists this year truly are. I was surprised to see so much dislikes when I read your comment again few moments ago. Same with Mr Vanilla Bean. We kinda had a feud on another article but I was among the ones that liked his comments since he wrote that he liked Bulgaria and Cyprus entries, both of my favourite ones this year. We know then the reason why a few people are… Read more »
So far you’ve called:
1. Russia’s past songs outdated
2. Icelands entry (this year) bland and boring, which won’t qualify
3. Barbara Pravi’s song overrated
4. Sweden’s selection Melodifestivalen bad
5. Said Tornike should just release his song rather than a clip, but when Efendi did it, it just got you excited
6. Jewish people problematic
7. Israel’s selection a mistake
8. Armenians t*rrorists
9. Italy overrated
10. Greece meh, but okay
11. Spain just bad
That’s a scary history of all of what KRM wrote here. You really did note what he/she posted on every article ? That’s really scary.
The things you’ve pointed out — if they’re accurate — aren’t that important because KRM isn’t forbidden to express negative reviews about certain things — songs, teasings, NF etc. However, what you’re writing at the points 6 and 8 aren’t something that must be expressed, especially the point 8.
Well that’s not all, there’s even more comments and also on the other names KRM writes with, but my point is that if you tend to give harsh words on other acts people will start noticing and disliking you as a person. You can’t expect to be friends with people after you’ve been rude to them.
I get you but do you have evidence to prove what you’re writing ? The writing of comments under other usernames ? ‘Cause I can’t trust you without proof. That’s logical for me to ask you that first. And ‘giving harsh words’. Well, to me, ‘boring’, ‘meeh’, ‘bland’, ‘outdated’, ‘bad’, ‘is a mistake’ aren’t that problematic as adjectives. I mean, if something bores you, the proper adj to qualify it is ‘boring’. That’s logical. If you feel that he/she is giving ‘harsh words’ on things, that’s a matter of perception, girl. ‘Cause to me they aren’t harsh. On the contrary,… Read more »
Are you ok? First of all, it’s really scary and crazy that apparently, you take notes of what I type here. If you do so, at least, do not give any false information and do not slander me! I’ve never said that all Russian entries are outdated. I was just referring to Sergey Lazarev’s and Yuliya Samoylova’s song which I rather found boring and outdated. If outdated is a provocative term, then correct me by proposing a more appropriate term, since English is not my first language. I’ve never said that. Yes, I said that Iceland will/could possibly be a… Read more »
I don’t take notes on your comments, but we can all read previous posts here and the comments that are written under them. I’m not saying you can’t say you don’t like some songs, but if you say something bad about other people’s favourites, of course they might not be your biggest fans after that, it’s just how people behave.
Am I okay? Why come at me like that, are you trying to get more downvotes or own up to your words, it’s time to decide.
KRM is giving solid evidence while you seem to twist and misinterpret most of his/her comments… So I’m trusting KRM, girl.
Twisting someone’s comments is bad, I hope you know that ?
Let’s just try something to see if KRM is right.
I absolutely LOVE Azerbaijan’s entry and Efendi is a goddess on earth <3
I guess people just have a bone to pick with you, KRM. I wrote positive stuff about Azerbaijan on purpose and I’m not downvoted. That’s disturbing …
Watch out Nadja, Ellen (purple) is not the same as the green one, it’s KRM’s other username.
Not at all, I can tell you that it’s me. The thumbnail with the little monsters/bacterias change ’cause I’m commenting from two different devices with two different registered mail adresses.
But that’s nice of you to have noticed that. I didn’t really pay attention to that.
See ? I’m the same user. You guys are just p*ssed about KRM for a reason that I don’t know… and that I don’t wanna know.
Ellen I was being sarcastic, everyone seems to hop on any conspiracy theories these days!! 😀
Oh ok. I didn’t get your sarcastic tone xp
That’s true… and scary at the same time.
Hi KRM , let me explain why did theese toxic people downvote you.. Not about Malta or something else , they are mad as dogs when they see Efendi’s name , any positive comment about her makes them angry like a dog 😀 don’t care about them , they are desperate people 🙂
I have 5 of them in my top 10 <3
Russia, Moldova, Slovenia, Romania and Greece
Most of these ladies have solid entries, but my absolute favorites are from Victoria, Roxen and Barbara. 🙂
The list is not complete- no Senhit!
There are three women missing all up!
Thanks for fixing it 🙂
Destiny from Malta, though I don’t really like the song this year, we all know she is capable of so much more and is an amazing vocalist.
Honourable mention to Victoria from Bulgaria and Barbara from France. The ladies are strong this year.
The weakest I think is Efendi of Azerbaijan and Samantha from Latvia. Sorry but that’s just how I see it.
Efendi is weak? You have ear problem
I think you might have those problems
Efendi relies too heavy on auto tune, sound mixing and hair whipping. She’s weak vocally
slovenia is missing in the poll
