As always, we’ll have review posts for each rehearsal here on wiwibloggs — though for second rehearsals, we’ll be grouping acts together in groups of two and three. You’ll be able to read our thoughts and reactions to all the rehearsals and see which countries decided to change up their staging.

And of course, our team on the ground in Rotterdam will be livestreaming reactions to the second rehearsals over on wiwi.tv, so make sure you’re subscribed and keeping an eye on our YouTube channel!

Eurovision 2021: Press conferences

Shortly after their second rehearsals, each act will attend a 20-minute press conference.

Things will look a little different this year with social distancing in place. But we’ll still be on hand to ask the stars some questions from a safe distance to get their thoughts on the rehearsal.

Today we were heavily bombed by lots of great music, different, sweet or even aggressive, this contest is so alive. The whole day I was late to quickly switch from one track to another, also listening wiwibloggs reactions carefully))) However, then I had a giant cup of coffee, again listened to all the songs… – here after someone of you can be mad, angry with me – but honestly, Manizha is just an outer space with no place. She is sooo outstanding on her own. It doesn’t mean the rest are not great or whatever, it’s just her – beautiful… Read more »

Italy for the win!!!

Let me inform you for something that I noticed today.. Malta’s 2nd rehearsal video was upload to the official channel like 4 hours ago…ten minutes later I was there and checking the views from all the participants. Malta had 86.000+ with 6.8k likes and 2.2k dislikes. Then I refresh the page and she went to 112.000 views with the same amount of likes and dislikes, and now she gained another 11k views =123K with exactly 6.8k likes and 2.2k dislikes… that’s suspicious, that’s cheating. I love so much Destiny and I like her song so much that I’m voting for… Read more »

I know many will probably not agree with me but if these 6 songs had to compete like the other 33 for a place in the final the only one that I would consider worthy would be France, (BTW I’m not French) the others are all a bit meh. There’s a lot of positivity towards Italy but I’m not getting the love. It’s not particularly original, as much as I love Italy I really dislike the way they often talk more than sing, I hear a lot of it on Italian radio stations when I’m driving there, also I think… Read more »

I think it’s quite refreshing for once to be anticipating the big-5 to rehearse and people to be interested in them. Exciting day ahead

To be fair I always anticipate all the countries to rehearse and see what they do live 😀

France will be extra exciting off course. I hope Barbara and Gjon’s stagings won’t clash too much since I expect Barbara to also make lots of use of black and white.

Predictions for the end of the day. France is going to be all red with bookies, while Cyprus, Ukraine and Russia will be all blue.

I think France will be just as Switzerland was, half blue half red (very French indeed) and stable in the odds. Very open field this year, anything in the top 10 could make it.

Good morning to everyone? Very excited for today and also a bit nervous. Wish all the best to all countries and hope they have a good second rehearsal. Go Malta, get the staging right. No fan of the pink outfit, but her voice is just fantastic. As a German I am obviously not neutral and objective about Jendrick. Just really like him and the song cheers me up big time. Hope for the best, but even if it gets very few points, I am still happy we gave Jendrick the chance to go to Rotterdam. Crossing my fingers for the… Read more »

Having seen Russia’s second rehearsal, and bearing in mind that North Macedonia won the juries in 2019, I’m starting to think that Russia could prove the biggest shock and win the juries.

Manizha will be a fantastic winner, with a much better song than Dima Bilan’s Believe, and easily Russia’s best, most honest song in decades.

She deserves it. She is the most inspiring artist this year

I don’t believe she can win. She can easily be in top 5 with televoting, but not win.

Does it take a little bit off of the glamour of these artists, when you meet them and then they smell like smokers since they smoke? I might be alone with this thought, but I don’t smoke myself so the smell isn’t something I’m used to! Weird.

I just hope and pray that the UK team knocks it out of the park with the staging. The entry is the best in decades and deserves a decent result, not this Bottom 5 BS people are spouting.

What people worth listening to are spouting that?

Embers is a good track, radio friendly, a total bop. Everyone was calling for more bops in January…and James absolutely delivered a bop. The song and music video are top notch…I just fear for staging.

There couldn’t be more expectation on Barbara’s rehearsal now. Exciting to see what Team France do tomorrow.
