From the beginning until now, Ronela Hajati is my favorite.

Last year i was much more excited about Fik. This year the songs are mostly nice, but i wont add any of them to my playlist. Most of them are quite forgetable. There is more rock this year. It seems its a trend. I think the newcomers have more generic enjoyable songs while the big names keep the festival tradicion of big ethnic ballads. I also feel some names are overrated in this blog just because they are famous. If i had to choose a winner it would be Evi Reci, just because. It would be nice to see a… Read more »

I don’t like any of this songs. I do not know why everybody is rooting for Alban, I am sure he wouldn’t make it to the any talent show to go to the finals. This polls means nothing, and why that banner (only 4 artists)? Why do i have to listen to Alban’s winning song from another contest?
With the 2 contestants I see here, Albania will have a difficult time in Eurovision 2022.

I love Ronela, but the song is a complete mess. I have no idea who Alban is, but he might be my favourite. I just hope he’s able to perform that live, it’s a challenging song.

I think people have forgotten that there are other acts than Ronela, Alban, and Mirud, I mean they’re not bad but certainly not the best, my 4th, 7th and 10th

I think will orchestra and Ronela will convert the elements of the song in orchestra and she will have dancers plus she dances herself, so will be much different than the clip we are watching. She will be amazing. I love Alban too is very spiritual ethnic but ppl in Eurovision will not appreciate it. So I’m for Ronela . She will attract a lit tele votes with her performance

Ronela or Mirud. Alban is not bad but too melodramatic for me and his voice sounds not so enjoyable

As much as I loved Ronela’s bangers in the past, this one is not even near my expectations to say the least. It’s a complete mess. On the other hand, there’s Alban whom I hadn’t heard of until Kenga Magjike. His live performance wasn’t his best, but he’s got potential. The emotion and the rage he conveys is unbeatable- it’s the perfect song for me.

People say that they should change FiK rules so a eurovision-friendly winner can be chosen. I have to say to everyone, that i am totally against that. FiK is an albanian festival and it should stay like that, a festival for the country’s culture.
Anyway FiK is not choosing a song, is choosing an artist. They can always change the song later.

People should forget about the term “Eurovision-friendly” and just accept whatever each country chooses. Especially when it comes to countries like Albania and Portugal, who always pick something the whole country can get behind no matter what the result is.

screaming men for albania is not possible.
Like almost every year, albania should nominate a screaming woman, whoever.

Sekret is a total mess production wise, and the juries don’t vote on potential. Alban is the only choice. I don’t think it will be close.

Alban Ramosaj has a mediocre vocal. Stop buying every scream they try to sell you!

Polegend Godgarina

it’ll clearly be alban raminaj and he’ll give albania their same cute lower top 20 result with not one single televoting point from a country without heavy albanian presence. that country has so much wasted esc potential i swear

no bc unless fik changes as their national final, they’ll never win eurovision. and as a lover of albanian music, it hurts my soul.

Or introduce televote

Azaad

I don’t think the FiK songs are the problem, rather it’s the small jury and no televote. Overall, in the last few years Albania has had one of the more solid lineup of songs to offer, particularly the 2019/2020 season.

You are saying it as if consinstantly making it to the final was an easy feat. Albania has a qualification streak going on and I think theje has a higher chance of keeping it going than something as risky as sekret.

Obviously Sekret is awesome but I have no idea how it might sound live. Haven’t listened to Alban’s song yet, so I haven’t formed an opinion. But how is nobody paying attention to Shega, their song is actually really good! And wow, Evi’s song is totally opposite to Zjarri im. How is nobody talking about that?

I would be surprised if the battle isn’t between Sekret and Theje. Uptempo modern pop versus classic Balkan ballad… But unlike the other years, 2019 especially where I was routing for Me tana all the way, this time the two songs really stands a chance for me as I find both of them special enough to make a positive impact in the contest. PS : yesterday I notice while listening to Theje that Xhesika Polo from last year was a backing vocalist for Alban’s track which made me like it even more. Good luck to Albania.

I don’t think anyone can compete with Alban, his live vocals and performances are unmatched. Not to mention, he’s a huge star in Albania.

Also, who is voting for Mirud? Watch his performance from last year and let me know if you still think he stands a chance. Every previous FiK winner has outstanding vocals and stage presence, Mirud has none.

His song this year is much more jury friendly and he could pull off those notes. On the other hand the way Alban sings is just too harsh for my ears.

Albanian’s love big vocals, just look at the previous FiK winners. Alban won the moment he decided to compete.

The situation in Albania is a bit unexciting this year. There are two obvious favorites because they are the two biggest names, and coincidentally, their songs also appear to be the best ones in the selection. We do have a ”Shaj vs Me tana” situation all over again, and I can see advantages and disadvantages in both cases. There’s not much for me to be bedazzled by in this edition, but not much to actively dislike either. There are a lot of perfectly presentable ballads and rock songs, but hardly anything feels out of the expected route, considering it’s FiK.… Read more »

To be fair, only two or three songs feel like they really need a more contemporary re-mastering, while some have a really good production values. Also, I realize that FiK is a world on its own, and that some things go as expected. I just feel like a lot of these songs are quite nice, but miss an ”oomph”, so to say.
Besides Alban and Ronela, I’d also compliment Mirud and Ester Zahiri. In the end, of course that I’m hyped for FiK just because.

Even though it appears that Ronela and Alban are the favourites I wouldn’t be surprised if someone not really expected won. Rezarta or Evi just for example. Last year most people were focused on Era, Inis, and even Mirud and despite being somewhat of a favourite Anxhela win was a shock for a lot of people. All I’m saying is that I wouldn’t be surprised if one of the favourites didn’t win.

Men voting for Alban because he is hot. Jury will vote for Alban because he will sing a typical Albanian ballad. Poor Ronela, in a perfect world, it would be her who would represent Albania.

Alban is cute, but this selection is not about that. He has the best produced song. He deserves the win.

Ronela’s song is incredibly messy compared to the songs she releases outside of FiK. I don’t know why she decided to send this version to the contest honestly…

And let’s be real, the Albanian boomer jury will never choose this as their representative for Eurovision.

Theje is the good-quality beautiful and emotional song that I expect from Albania, and Sekret is the good-quality ethnic bop song that I expect from Albania. I’d be happy if either goes to Eurovision! Though I would advise a revamp for Sekret so doesn’t sound too chaotic in the middle (doesn’t bother me, but it might for others).

I think Alban should (and will) win. Sekret is great as well, and normally I would be begging for Albania to change it up, but for me Theje is just a better overall product. All in all, let’s just hope that Albania keeps it in Albania, as it has very clearly worked for them.
