She was one of the most talked about names of Eurovision 2022 in Turin. And it seems Ronela Hajati has earned the attention of Italy’s music industry during her time at the contest. The Albanian star has teamed up with music producers from Italy to release the new Italian-language single “Caramel”.
This is Ronela’s first ever song in Italian — a treat for her new Italian fans who have discovered her from the Eurovision Song Contest.
Ronela Hajati – “Caramel”
Despite being sung in Italian, Ronela stayed at home in Albania for the shooting of the music video. Filmed by FullMoon Production, the seductive video was directed by The Claudia, and it’s stylist Niko Komani who we have to thank for Ronela’s stunning looks. Meanwhile, the choreography has been created by Andi Murra, who Ronela previously worked with for her Festivali i Kenges performance of “Sekret”.
Just like she usually does with her music, Ronela has been involved with writing the song. She’s done so in collaboration with Marko Polo as well as Andrea Papazzoni from Gotham Dischi. The latter has previously worked with numerous Italian artists, such as Alfa, Ethos, Frontera and more.
“Caramel” isn’t the only song Ronela plans on releasing in languages outside of her native Albanian. Close connections have told wiwibloggs that she already has many offers for collaborations with artists from across Europe.
“Caramel” is Ronela Hajati’s first solo single since competing at Eurovision 2022 in Turin, Italy. Despite being a fan-favourite with her song “Sekret”, the Albanian star failed to qualify from the first semi-final.
Nevertheless, Ronela isn’t letting the result set her back. She’s dived straight back into new music and has also recently released “Papi Chulo” alongside MatoLale.
“Caramel” lyrics — Ronela Hajati
Baby ma perché,
Da Medellin a Milano
Ti sei innamorato di me
Baby ma perché,
A Medellin e Milano
Non sei ritornato con me
Soy tu cara-cara-cara-caramel (×2)
Caramello yeah Woooh
Caramello yeah
Non ho più guardato nessuno
Baby te lo giurò
Questa notte cambia col futuro
Prendimi da bere un altro giro
Tienimi vicino
Sento il tuo respiro
Nel cuore fa…
Biribiribam biribiribambam
pericoloso Baby (×2)
Il mio cuore fa…
biribiribam biribiribambam
pericoloso Baby (×2)
Baby ma perché
Da Medellin a Milano
Ti sei innamorato di me
Baby ma perché
A Medellin e Milano
Non sei ritornato con me
Soy tu cara-cara-cara-caramel (×2)
¿Que?
Voglio bere
Un mare
e fumare-e
Ma non ti rendi conto
Che passa solo un giorno
Ho trovato già un altro
Però somiglia a te
Il mio cuore fa…
biribiribam biribiribambam
pericoloso Baby (×2)
Baby ma perché
Da medellin a Milano
To sei innamorato di me
Baby ma perché
A medellin e Milano
Non sei ritornato con me
Soy tu cara-cara-cara-caramel (×2)
Que?
Caramello yeah wooh
Caramello yeah

Very bland, odd to try to gain momentum in the Italian music market with such low effort?
Ronela one hit after another.
so you make articles about ronelas new song that has nothing to do with eurovision but you dont report on things like how geogira chose their junior eurovision singer which does has something to do with eurovision
They only wrote about Rosa Linn’s post-contest success with Snap on TikTok and Spotify after being asked why they hadn’t mentioned it. They have their favourites: Chanel, Sam and Ronela.
and Subwoolfer
Actually I was wondering that too! Even North Macedonia has announced their participants. I’ve always had a feeling that wiwibloggs overlooks Junior Eurovision. Even if it doesn’t have much following or views, it is still an Eurovision event.
Ronela, anche in italiano spacchi !!!
THE BEST. As always. SLAYED this song, as always.
