We here at WiwiBloggs are loving hashtags, and they’re loving them in Copenhagen too! So much so that DR took to Twitter and Facebook to ask all y’all Eurovision fans for suggestions for this year’s show, using the hashtag #MyEurovisionIdea. Back in January we listed some of our favourite suggestions, which included ideas about a time capsule and sexy mermaids. Love all that ridic!
DR has announced the winner. He’s 29-year old Thomas Majer from Germany, and he will see his idea on stage in Copenhagen. His idea was for producers to imagine what Eurovision will be like in the future, rather than merely reviewing vintage footage as is done every year. That’s some good thinking! Hopefully the future will involve every European nation competing.
Jan Lagermand Lundme loved Thomas’ idea:
It’s a fun idea to imagine what Eurovision will look like in the future. He’s absolutely right that there’s a lot of looking back. That’s why it’s been a fun task to figure out what the future will look like. We have used his idea as the basis and then interpreted it our way and it’s going to look really good on stage, I promise.

@fikri – it’s called EUROvision for a reason.
“Hopefully the future will involve every European nation competing.” wow, no love for african, central asian and middle-eastern EBU members, huh?
I guess Valentina Monetta will still representing San Marino.
Really good idea indeed! Looking forward to see what the Danes come up with (:
Oh god. I have flashbacks to 2001 possibly one of the worst interval acts ever!!! 🙁 is there nothing better the Danes could do.
im glad it wont be the same touristical and stupid danish significants like tthe little mermaid, hc andersen etc. as you would expect from the danes
