Australia’s Guy Sebastian flew halfway around the world to promote his Eurovision 2015 song — and by golly, he’s going to get the most out of all those miles! On Saturday evening he sang at Eurovision in Concert and the response to his first live performance of “Tonight Again” was amazing. The promotional video was good, but he elevated the song to great on stage. Keeping true to the song’s title, he relived it all again on Sunday evening with another live performance on the Dutch show Life 4 You.
The hosts asked him about his Eurovision in Concert experience and he said he was really impressed with the acts. It was the first time he had heard the other contestants and he thinks Sweden’s Mans will be big competition. He also said the Swedish star is super nice, but we already knew that. (Have you heard him talk about his dog Messi?!)
When co-host Carlo Boszhard asked him about the Dutch singer Trijntje, Guy made it pretty clear that he doesn’t like the Dutch song “Walk Along” that much: He chose to focus on Trijntje’s “amazing voice” rather than her “good song”. Carlo pressed him about the “good song” bit, eventually prompting Guy to say it’s good but absolutely not as good as his own. We’re sure some of you agree.
Guy said that when Australia’s SBS asked him to represent the country he couldn’t say no, as it felt like a huge honour to be asked. That was the easy part. Choosing the song was a lot harder. He had a lot of songs he wanted to sing, but they asked him to write a new song in just three days. Fun fact: The hat he wears on the show is the same one as in his official video clip. He’s a little worried people will think he only has one.
He also joked that his performance will include mechanical kangarooes shooting fire, but later admitted that in reality it will feature some fancy streetlights and bring the fun.

he presented himself quite good considering the barrage of nonsensical questions by the host.
I really had expected Guy Sebastian to finish in the top 10 with a cute song & with great performance combing it with many sympathy points just because of Australia debuting as a guest in our Vision.. But to consider him a hot favorite to win with THAT nah song just changes the game for me though.. Even if he might be a great performer with his skills/ability to be diamond well i can’t claim the same for his song.. @Nitzan, well Australia isn’t even a European country just like Israel. so my top 3 for the final: 1. Italy, great song and Opera is Always nice to hear 2. France, Lisa is a good singer a little underrated 3. A has been singer ct? What are you on about. Guy is an extremely successful singer in Australia. He is one of our most successful artists. He hasn’t charted much overseas. But in Australia he has had hit after hit after hit. Eight top ten albums with two number ones, 18 top twenty singles, with 12 reaching the top ten, including 6 number ones. A terribly pedestrian song that sounds like sth out of American Idol rather than Eurovision, concosted in three days by a has-been singer-songwriter. I am sorry but Australia hasn’t taken it as seriously as they should to merit victory.

I think that Australia has a VERY big chance to win the contest! and not because it’s Australia, but because Guy is an Amazing performer and his voice is so good live, and also very important the song is very very good, i would be happy if Australia win this year, they deserve it in my opinion.

A bit of a misrepresentation of what Guy said about Trijntje’s song. He said the song was good and she had a great voice. Then the interviewer asked what he thought about the song, and he repeated again that it was good and also used the word great. The interviewer then asked him if it was as good as his, and he answered “of course not” laughing. He was clearly joking as he often does. He didn’t say “it’s good but absolutely not as good as my own”. That is just not Guy to say something like that.
I’m very surprised that the bookies have placed Australia up as the 3rd favorite to win the Vision over Estonia that now is placed 4th favorite.. I really do not like Sebastian’s song…It is not bad at all but it is not really good either…Just ok descent cute & thats all.. Currently i have Australia even outside of my top30.. Guy Sebastian looks charming,friendly & sweet but his song itself does not have great potentials to win the Vision.. I think that he can possibly do really well finishing even inside the top10..
