Fifteen acts competed in the first semi-final of Belarus’ semi-final earlier this evening, but only five are still in the running to compete at Eurovision 2012. They are: Gunesh, Litesound, Alena Lanskaya, Victoria Aleshko and Uzari.
You’ll notice that Belarus’ 2011 contestant Anastasiya Vinnikova—a former Eurovision Babe of the Day—is not among them. Wiwi loved her song “Shining in Twilight,” but the Belarusians weren’t feeling it. That’s pretty shocking given the rather appalling songs that did advance.
