The year is almost out, which means one thing – time for the annual “#YouTubeRewind” clip. The video sharing giant released the celebration of “the moments, memes, and people that made 2014” earlier this evening. And as usual it features some of the world’s biggest internet stars – PewDiePie, Tyler Oakley, Jenna Marbles, Dan & Phil… and Conchita Wurst!

Yes, our reigning Eurovision queen is nestled in amongst the viral spider dogs and Ice Bucket Challenges (despite not doing one herself). And based on her hourly Twitter updates, we were expecting something big.

Before we continue – ANTI-CLIMAX ALARM! Despite an afternoon of excitable tweeting, the bearded diva appears on screen for a grand total of …two seconds. Talk about hyping oneself up. You can see “The Rise Like A Phoenix” singer at 3:25.

On the plus side, it’s two seconds more than Emmelie de Forest last year, so you know, #winning.

Yeah. The Whole Rewind itself is not as good as last year’s. So I’m kinda glad that Conchita didn’t grace an appearance for longer.

ridiculous. she caused a lot of controversy in Europe even in US and Australia so she should have gotten more exposure in the video.

That’s it? Just for a (few) seconds inside a little video?

Great!

Well, if you want to be nitpicky, she actually appears for a total of 5 seconds, 2 seconds starting at 3:25 … and then 3 seconds at the end 😛

Considering how they wanted to condense the whole year in just 5 minutes, is understandable these “youtube stars” only appear for a few seconds each… but c’mon! I was expecting at least a reference to her performance, you know, what she actually did during the year. But oh well, as you said, at least she appears in there.

Although I don’t care about how long she was included considering only the powerhouses of YouTube got more than a few seconds, why put her in a gaming role? They could even have easily made a douze points reference in a gaming context, but they just stuck her in for sake of it.
