I have 3 faves but they’re all equal first 😛

Lítil skref – Love the tone in this!
Augnablik – Easily the stand out for vocal performance. Strong ballad!!
Aldrei of seint – Love the whistle in this, love the beat. Can see it being worked on stage!

Feather would be a 4th and after that I really don’t care. Semi 1 is horrifying outside of Augnablik and For all is definitely overrated..

1. CADEM – my HUGE favorite this year! The song is fresh, with that retro touch that makes you wanna dance nonstop. Yeah!

2. Friðrik Dór – he’s a high-level artist in Iceland, with a nice voice. Out of his comfort zone with this song, but he nails it.

3. Stefanía Svavarsdóttir – nice song, grows on me.

4. Erna Hrönn – never fails on quality terms.

So many great ones! I’m specially loving María Ólafsdóttir, Friðrik Dór and Hinemoa.

Augnablik for me. Its build is as strong as “Quedate Conmigo” and is as beautiful as both ‘Quedate Conmingo’ and ‘Is it true?’.

Stefania for the win!

Augnablik is probably my favourite. With some great staging it could probably parallel ‘Is it true?’ and if it was selected it would be my new favourite.

Reykjavik 2016!

I am in love with “Þú leitar líka að mér” It is just so catchy and tropical. I love it and it reminds me of Tropico 5 (A Pc Game) Altough I usually don’t like this style of song I do like “Í síðasta skipti” it reminds me of “Da Da Dam” or “Me and My Guitar” “Í kvöld” is very “In Love For A While” Esque I feel that “Augnablik” is a safe option for Iceland to pick but is just a generic ballad. “Milljón augnablik” has a Sheppard Geronimo kind of vibe to it but isn’t the best… Read more »

These are all decent songs, but most of them don’t really leave a long standing impression, so it’s up to which are the most effective and engaging and I can come up with these 3:
Augnablik – I can see this one turn into a Yohanna ‘Is It True’ moment, even if it will probably sink to the middle of the scoreboard.
Brotið gler – love the intro, the electro-beat, the guitar strums and the melodic arrangement.
Fjaðrir – just for the sheer creepiness of it and the minimalist musical style. It does get into one’s skin…

I was always wondering how one can choose the “best” from the bunch of 250+ songs received. But then, I turn to Sweden & see 16 chosen from 2500+ songs. My mind goes full busy & not entertaining. In every case, I can’t go away from the fact that they (the jury or whatever) chose songs that aren’t good enough to be on the particular stage. But that’s just me. Me likes: – Þú leitar líka að mér – Milljón augnablik – Fyrir alla (but I do know that this is waaaaaaaaaay cheap 90s sound) – Aldrei of seint (probably… Read more »

“Aldrei of seint” makes me cry; I love it so much. The first 20 seconds have me worried, but then it packs such a punch.

I am in love with ‘Þú leitar líka að mér ‘ it is just so bright and catchy and feels tropical. It reminds me of Tropico 5 (A Game)

Altough I hate this genre of song I like ‘Í síðasta skipti’ It reminds me of Da Da Dam or Me And My Guitar.

‘Í kvöld’ Is ok very ‘In Love For A

Hope ‘Fjaðrir’ win! Great modern song! But it remind me a little bit of Norway 2013 but this song is a more mystical! If they sing in English, then I really like it.

My 2 favourites:

Friðrik Dór – Í síðasta skipti (The Last Time) the man has looks, beautiful voice and a song full of emotions. Iceland, please !

Sunday – “Fjaðrir” (Feathers) is Norway 2013 2.0. I love it but I’m not fully impressed. If only it could be more catchy and more dramatic, that could be “it”. Those kinds of modern, dark, mystical songs are a pure art for me. And considering the fact Norway placed the 4th in Malmö I think this song could do pretty well too.

Cadem is by far my favorite, very modern song and with a good stage presentation i think it will do very well!
I like Stefania too but i feel it’ a very safe choice. As for the others i just think they are filler songs in the selection… Anyway good luck to all and may the best win.

All the songs are either really dated or really good. My favourites are the songs by HINEMOA, Friðrik Dór, Elín Sif Halldórsdóttir, Haukur Heiðar Hauksson, María Ólafsdóttir, CADEM (although I hate that I like it), Regina Ósk, and SUNDAY (love this type of music). You can always rely on Iceland (and Estonia) for nice soft folky music.

2. “Fjaðrir” by Sunday
3. “Lítil skref” by María Ólafsdóttir

I like ‘Þú leitar líka að mér’ and ‘Milljón augnablik’, but I think the better one for Eurovision is:
