Over the past couple of months, ORF has been hard at work around Europe shooting this year’s postcards. And with all 40 acts announced, things have got even busier. This year’s artists have been excitedly sharing details of their postcard shoots on social media, so let’s take a look at their adventures!
Earlier in the month, the Austrian broadcaster revealed details of this year’s postcards – the short film clips that play before each performance. Aptly enough, the postcards have a postal theme. Each act receives a mysterious package in their hometown, which leads them to completing a task in Austria, based around culture, sports, economics and science themes, both modern and traditional.
So we’ve been seeing lots of photos of Eurovision stars posing in front of their front doors (and there are some very nice doors out there). This then leads to scenes from Austria. There have been a lot of shoots in snowy landscapes, but some equally interesting scenes filmed indoors. One thing is for sure – despite the early starts and cold weather, everyone seems to have had a great time!

I liked 2013 the most… showing in a few seconds the artist, there hobby’s or an experience of them. 2014 was very nice as well. This year… mweh gonna be really boring, some artist will get an amazing video (i guess Spain and Sweden) and some countries will get a boring one (Moldova, Macedonia, Israel).
The idea is alright but no way is it better than last year’s. 2014 was by a mile the best one ever!
Would be cool if the Genealogy six all received a package in their home countries and then made their way to Austria separately. I’m curious to see how they do that one.
Deniz: she’s gonna go for a walk trough vienna… Lol
I wonder what Trijntje is going to do. Well also for the rest ofcourse :$

So cool concept! <3 🙂
Im so looking 4ward 4 watching these lovely postcards and to finally be aware about what all these packages have hidden inside..! <3 🙂
I am liking this year’s postcards and last year’s too. A little kind of interaction towards the contest’s theme right before these performers start is always endearing to me.
@dan marino
I completly agree!
last year i was mesmerized by the creativity of some of the postcards, but this year’s somehow managed to beat that
I absolutely love this idea. This could top last years one!
