Latvia Citi Zeni Eat Your Salad Eurovision 2022 first rehearsal
EBU / Nathan Reinds

Feeling hungry? Latvia’s Citi Zeni has got you covered. They’ve graced the Turin stage for Eurovision 2022 second rehearsals, fine tuning “Eat Your Salad” ahead of next week’s live show. What changes have they made? Let’s take a look…

Latvia’s Citi Zeni “Eat Your Salad” — Eurovision 2022 second rehearsal

Padraig: Citi Zeni open their second rehearsal with a bold statement. They eat veggies. Period. There is no hint of any felines during today’s run through, neither lyrically nor visually. And while the cat emojis may be absent, we are still treated to a feast for the eyes. The floor LEDs are filled with bright primary colours, while an array of fresh produce flash up on screen behind them, including cherries, eggplants and strawberries. Of course, as will be the case throughout the day, the black rainbow of doom is a blight on the overall effect. Otherwise, the gents retain the same energy from Lativa’s national final, along with their coloured suits. They also put the lights to good use during the sax solo, filling the stage with white light and creating an almost celestial feel.

Luis: Fruity, fresh and funky, Latvia’s Citi Zeni bring a lot of fun to the stage. Dynamism is key to this performance, there’s a new person on frame at every moment, but it doesn’t really get busy. Latvia bring a full on colour performance, with lots of flashes and white lights. This is going to get by surprise those who haven’t seen the performance.

Don’t like the lyrics, and the song and the melody.

They are qualifying for sure. But it is unfair that the sun things doesn’t affect them.

Yes the black sun sucks but they’re amazing and they’re making it work! So happy with them and hoping they will advance!

Once again, the staging ruins the performance. It literally looks like a national final stage from Croatia or something.

AT THIS POINT, THESE GUYS WILL QUALIFY EASIER THAN MANY FAVORITES! <3

The camera angles and the phenomenal color pallete they've chosen really complement the entry and partially hides the digusting black hole in the background. Good luck, Latvia!

If Alesia Michelle who hates Latvian song from bottom of her heart said that Latvia can qualify and that they might have got even more momentum to qualify than Albania then they’re in.
