If you feel the sudden urge to play Sofi Marinova’s “Love Unlimited” on repeat, don’t be alarmed. You’ve probably just sensed the news we can now confirm: Bulgaria will sing at Eurovision 2015!
Earlier today Joana Levieva-Sawyer, the head of delegation for Bulgaria, confirmed to wiwibloggs that state broadcaster BNT has filed its paperwork with the European Broadcasting Union and plans to sing in Vienna. This was our reaction:
In 2012 Bulgaria almost made the final for the second time in its history. Sofi Marinova, the Bulgarian singer, tied for 10th place with Norway’s Tooji on 45 points. Unfortunately she lost the tiebreak because Tooji received more points from more nations.
Stoyan & Elitsa, the only Bulgarian act ever to make the final (back in 2007), tried again in 2013. Sadly they failed to qualify—and Bulgaria decided to sit out the 2014 contest, owing to both its lack of success and its financial woes.

This is not true. Unfortunately Bulgaria will not come back soon at ESC. I know this for sure. I am a bulgarian and we will not participate at this contest the next years.
But you can enjoy and vote for the bulgarian performance in JESC in Malta after one month. It will be the best performance ever and probably we will win it.
Good to have you back!
I will vote for you Bulgaria so you can get to the final!
Yesss!!!
Yay! Welcome back Bulgaria!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great! Very happy, but no début with Lebanon because Israel is in, FORGET THE POLITICS!
I was gutted that Sofi didn’t qualify. Such a shame to have missed out for who would eventually come last in the final
I’m glad they’re back. I was gutted when they dropped out
Spain is also IN!
*cough* Croatia *cough*
Today is an amazing day. First Israel, then Serbia and now Bulgaria confirms participation. 😀
it’ll be one hell of a Balkan invasion next year. Not quite sure how will it affect the contest and voting.
