During semi final 2 of Eurovision 2015, Sweden’s Måns Zelmerlöw worked his digital projection screen. Norway’s Mørland & Debrah Scarlett played with light. And Azerbaijan’s Elnur Huseynov held his vocals as his dancers went all Cirque du Soleil. In the end all three of them advanced to the grand final on Saturday, fulfilling the bookies’ predictions. It wasn’t without surprises. Poland’s Monika Kuszynska and Cyprus’ John Kariyannis both advanced, knocking out acts including Malta’s Amber and Iceland’s Maria Olafs.
In case you missed the results — why weren’t you watching?! — here are the second semi final qualifiers.

I say Ireland and Malta didnt get through as they weren’t being voted for maybe people thought they were safe.I found nothing wrong with there performances
@Britz26 what a ridiculous way to show your appreciation towards one performer by using such rude expressions towards others
be polite
Sweden and Azerbaijan has great singers with amazing vocals
if you like more of folk and country and breaking voices all the time during the performance – it’s your own choice, no needs to use “hate” word, it’s incredibly childish
Longing to see how all will be on final day!
I’ve been fan of Azerbaijan entries since the beginning, even that others countries showed lot of competitive performings…but I will be voting for #24 Elnur!
I don’t want Sweden to win. I mean, the song isn’t bad but let somebody else win. It would be boring if Sweden wins.
I hate Sweden and Azerbaijan xD LITHUANIA WILL GET MY VOTE <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀
Sad for Czech Republic,Malta,Iceland!
My prediction was (random order):
-Sweden
-Azerbaijan
-Latvia
-Norway
-Slovenia
-Israel
-Czech Republic
-Iceland
-Malta
-Lithuania
I have been watching a lot of ECS 2015 entries but Azerbaijan is still my favorite. Vote for #24!
Number 24. That’s my choice. Elnur is the best on this ESC.
I was so thrilled about Elnur’s performance yesterday and wasn’t disappointed! same powerful! same breathtaking vocal! My voice for sure for Azerbaijan on final!
My all favorites are Sweden, Azerbaijan, Norway, Israel and Latvia
But my voice will go for sure to Elnur. I’m with him from the beginning!
Vote for 24!
I feel so sorry for Eugune, who thinks that it’s ok when almost transgender guy with a beard get votes, but woman on a wheelchair is too much for him. So it’s okay to be overtolerant for girlish gay behaviour, but not ok to tolerate people with disabilities?
Double standards!
Well, well…I knew I would not have a perfect 2nd day, because there were 4 that I thought would give me trouble (Ireland, Montenegro, Israel and Poland). I got 8 out of 10 on this night. Here is how I saw it: 9.53 Lithuania For me, Monika and Vaidas had the best pure song in the entire contest. I had no doubt that they would qualify. They are my number 4 pick to win it all. 9.52 Montenegro Beautiful song, beautiful video, beautiful stage performance. Absolutely fantastic! What else is there to say? Knez is my #2 (Il Volo from… Read more »
I’m glad for all the qualifiers, although I’m sad for all the non qualifiers, I find this year there was really no gimmick acts, all of them did their best and brought their A games, maybe some dress disasters but otherwise I wish for everyone to have wonderful vibrant careers. #MahaloEurope #Thereisaseathatseperatesus
Azerbaijan`s team will be winner of ECS 2015!
IRELAND: well done, running order did kill it considering the type of song it was but yet we have a young inexperienced girl an opportunity to move into the music world! Who cares if she didn’t qualify I didn’t think the song was strong enough from the start but am I the only one who could see Molly return in 2-3 years with a big dramatic song and win Eurovision? We’ve gone back to our routes giving young singers a chance again and it will take a few years but it’s coming! I much rather see Molly tonight than sending… Read more »
With Nadav the same happened to me as with Conchita last year in the SF. Each time I voted 20 times and hoped for them to pass… and both, Conchita and Nadav, were named as the last entry to make it to the final. Big emotions, a lot of tensions, I was about to explode. But everything turned out fine. 🙂 I hope the final ends for me just like last year, where Conchita won, so this time it should be Israel. My own country could place second, that would be great. Go, Edurne! Or why not both in first… Read more »
Ok. So among the second semifinal qualifiers there are great songs. But some of the vocals were quite amateurish (off key, screamy, crappy), while among the non-qualifiers there are good songs with better vocals and staging than some of the qualifiers. Is this really how Europe has voted? One could have serious doubts about the veracity of those results. Anyway, congrats to Czech Republic, Switzerland and Malta. You were EPIC! I also enjoyed very much Portugal’s performance. My country was in the first semi and made it to the Final, yet I am seriously taking into consideration not to watch… Read more »
I only got 4 out of 10 right in my personal ranking (Sweden, Slovenia, Latvia and Norway), which of course means that I think a lot of bad songs went through… Lithuania, Cyprus and Montenegro are just pure crap, Israel is tasteless in my opinion and Poland is very weak (although interesting due to the history of the singer). None of these are winner material, the 10 qualifiers from SF1 are way stronger contenders than most of the qualifiers from tonight. I think that Malta, Switzerland, Iceland and Ireland were totally robbed (even though not winner material either, but totally… Read more »
WOW, I have so much to say about this semi! First of all, it was one of, if not the most quality filled semi in last 8 years. There were more good performances than the slots in the finals. Norway are still my favorites, they were stunning! I am also happy for Poland. Actually, I am kinda happy for all who passed. Cyprus surprised me with a heartfelt performance, Azerbaijan was spot on, and I am glad that patience was worth for Latvia and Israel. I am sad for Czech Republic and Ireland, though. First country took a lot to… Read more »
what a show!! but i still prefer the SM1 cuz i predicted 10/10, i’m still in shock that montenegro, cyprus and poland qualified, i think that the order of singing of the last two helped a lot, and the first one cuz it was composed by zeljko joksimovic. I predicted malta, iceland and a hope for czech republic instead. anyway i’m pretty happy not seeing iceland in the final, i’ve never understood all the hype around this song, it fits perfect for the JESC, so cheesy and kitten, but not for the big league, and i’m dissapointed of malta, they… Read more »
Great show last nigh – Israel fantastic as was the Swedish song. In all I got 9/10 – As for Ireland – it was my number 11 – It was a poor national final for Ireland this year to be fair – Molly was a bit out of her depth. Forget about singing second – if the song was good enough it would have qualified and forget any stupid theories about block voting – it just was not good enough. Ireland should pick a good experienced singer next year and go for the big song (Shane Filan/Una from the Saturdays… Read more »
Thank you all (Europe and Australia) for bringing us back to the final ESC.
Big love and hugs from Israel. 🙂
Good luck Nadav!
This semi final was UNPREDICTABLE! I only got five correct guesses. The great thing is that four of them were the ones I wanted in the final! Go Norway, Latvia, Azerbaijan and Sweden! Congrats to the others as well. This final is gonna be EPIC! Can’t wait!
I am quite happy that Sweden and Norway made it to the finals. Didn’t expect anything less in the first place. Very much liked Israel and Azerbaijan but what ever happened to the sweetest act from Iceland? And the so very mentioned one-of-the-greatest voices Malta? Both songs were great but its a pity because it seems that too many people listen to the songs with their eyes than their ears.
I felt bad for Iceland, I like her song but that performance was really bad, about the same as Albania’s (and we all know that was a struggle). If someone thinks that Iceland was the best then they are seriously deaf or in denial because she was BY FAR the worst in this semi final, actually she gave the worst performance of both semi finals. Poor girl. It didn’t help her that she was between two of the night’s best performances. Everyone was better vocally than her and every seemed more confident. She was the only downright bad performance of… Read more »
Also, how could Cyprus qualify? Just how? Or, as Trijntje would say it, why-ay-ay-ay-ay-?
It was clear that this was going to be close, as there were more than 10 potential qualifyers. But seriously, Lithuania and Montenegro?! Especially Lithuania was extremely off-key. There were at least 4 acts that deserved a qualification more than these (Switzerland, Ireland, Czech Republic, Malta,…). A pity! But well, that’s how it is… can’t wait to see the full results, though.
So sad for Iceland:-(
Honestly shocked that Iceland didn’t qualify. To be fair, her vocals were a bit shaky…but I’m so upset that Cyprus qualified over her! I expected the rest of the finalists to make it through, but man. Cyprus?
4 of my 6 favorites of this semi final qualified: Norway, Latvia, Cyprus and SLOVENIA. The duo from Norway was really great and better than the National Final. Would be nice seeing this performance from Latvia: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ezv9gNW37LQ – But Aminata was great! Loved it! Cyprus was simple, but great too. Hope it does well in the Final! Marjetka was perfect, the vocals, the whole performance, anyway. I just didn’t liked the camera effects (the editions of 2013 and 2014 were better with the camera direction). It’s hard for me to believe that Ireland and Malta aren’t in the Final. Molly… Read more »
Czech Republic instead of Lithuania and it would’ve reflected who was better and who was worse tonight. Norway was the best and have a good chance of winning the competition.
@Whatever: The full voting results including semifinal rankings and split-vote totals will be released in the days after the final
Can someone tell me how/where to see the full classification of semi final 1 and 2? is that possible?
I woted from Sweden for The Czech Republic so many times. I’m reilly sad for them. Good voices, good song…what happended?
I just loved Cyprus today. I wasn’t even expecting it. That was a really great and sensitive performance coming from heart. It really did remind me of old and good Eurovision days. I think Cyprus made me realize that we lost the meaning with all those sparkles and stuff in songs last years. We are voting for a song just because it touches us…that was the purpose of the contest from the begging… at least for me 🙂
Go Cyprus. Just great.
Poor Switzerland and Czech Republic.
Malta was good too.
Iceland’s first time to be out of the final since 2007!
ISRAELLL YES! ( what if he wins? xD auuu)
Israel and UK will keep people awake.
There are many good songs this year.Hmm it is hard to choose a winner …….maybe Sweden? First half seems better than second half..there are many ballands in the second half.
It isnt Eurovision without surprises! How I would have ranked them in order:
Q) Latvia, Israel, Norway, Sweden, Montenegro, Slovenia, Cyprus, Czech Rep., Switzerland, Azerbaijan
————-
NQ) Iceland, Ireland, Lithuania, Poland, Malta, Portugal, San Marino
@David. Dont you think that people will forget Sweden? I mean come on, he has number 10, and there are 27 songs.
I wonder how much Russia payed for the 25th possition
Great draw for Italy and Russia. But i m afraid that Italy can be finish like UK last year when one of strong conteder for win, get to sing last in final .
Sweden has number 10. Is that bad? Lets not forget that Conchita had number 11 and won.
But Russia has number 25.
I hope people gets tried when it hits 20, lol !
Apparently the breaks are after 9th and 18th performer, as Sweden gets 10th in the starting order
Slovenia opens the show, Italy closes it.
OMG, my two favourites look so screwed 🙁
My prediction for final
1.Sweden
2.Italy
3.Estonia
4.Russia
5.Azerbaijan
6.Norway
7.Belgium
8.Serbia
9.Australia
10.Georgia

My TOP 5

@per: Stop trashing Slovenian entry. If anyone acted like jerk, it is you. In every post where Slovenia is mentioned you always say something negative, insulting and derogative about it. I would respect your opinion, if it would be backed by arguments. But it is not. What is your agenda, really? At the end of the day people like Slovenian song, so your opinion doesn’t really hurt the entry. It only makes you look like a bitter person.
Eugene ESC UK
I agree simpathy votes for Poland plus votes from UK,Ireland, Germany,Lithuania,Latvia, Czech Republic
One word – Cyprus
So proud of Nadav, I thought he was perfect! 16 years old and such an outstanding performer.
The moment they called Israel’s name at the very end of the draw, when we started thinking that again we could stay in the semi, was one of my personal highlights in this contest ever. I was ecstatic!
someone already said that though I guess lololol
@Iberian Thank you! Good luck to Edurne as well, I have high expectations of her. Muchos besos from Tel Aviv 🙂
