On September 20, the Eurasian Music Awards 2014 took place in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Swedish songstress and Eurovision 2012 queen Loreen headlined the EMAs and performed some of her greatest hits, including her song ‘Dumpster’.
Ani Lorak, the “Shady Lady” who sang for Ukraine in 2008, also headlined, winning the award for “Best Eurasian Artist”.
Before the show, commentators compared famous Kazakh singer Nurlan Abdullin to Conchita Wurst. We don’t really see it (besides the beard, two eyes and a good voice). Anyway, you can compare for yourself below!

Yeah like ‘good music’ was ever a synonym to ‘Eurovision’. More is ‘glitter music’.
Loreen is still working on her second album … an album takes time to make when you are writing and producing your own music for those who think that everybody should be releasing records like mcdonald cheeseburgers or a Rihanna album … Loreen is trying new music styles and not being stuck on the electro-dance-pop genre … she is experimenting with urban sounds and more alternative styles … Will those choices disappoint Eurovision fans who expect from her more Euphoria-sound-a-like songs? what happened to Loreen? No new music, no performances in Europe, nothing at all. Instead of that, she performs in some Kazakh awards show! What a let-down. I thought her career would take off…
