It’s the national final that’s delighting fans with the quality and variety of acts being added to the lineup. The next act confirmed for France’s Destination Eurovision is the upcoming R&B singer Masoe who will sing “Paradise”.
Born Kevin Duarte, Masoe is a new singer, originally from Pau in the Pyrenees. He’s using his appearance on Destination Eurovision to launch his pop career. His national final track “Paradise” will be his debut single.
There aren’t a lot of videos of Masoe, but there is this one from 2016. Here he is singing Christine and the Queen’s song “Paradis Perdus” (Paradise lost) — similarly titled, but completely different in style to his upbeat Destination Eurovision entry.

Masoe’s Destination Eurovision song “Paradise” has a big name behind it. It’s co-written by Masoe’s childhood friend Dany Synthé, now a major French music producer and a judge on the current series of Nouvelle Star (French Pop Idol).
Masoe mentions his big-name connection in the introduction video. He also talks about his relationship with the city of Paris, after he moved there to further his music career.
And of course, he speaks about what Eurovision means to him. He’s focused on winning and says participating in it is the continuation of his dream.
#Masoe ?
(@EurovisionF2) January 5, 2018
The excerpt of “Paradise” heard in the clip shows soul and R&B flavours mixed with hints of modern drum and bass production. The introduction builds to a big chorus, which Masoe sings in both English and French. As he describes his genre as chanson française, we don’t expect the song will be heavy on the English lyrics.

Sounds really good!
Thanks alot for sharing this post …..
thanks very much, that’s great
hi tanx
Only 12 seconds, could go either way in the full version but my initial instincts are contender for the win. When will we hear the full versions first, at the semis?
He has one thing in common with Marie Myriam, maybe he can be lucky and win like Marie Myriam.
But I’m not fan of his song, it’s not bad, but I prefer the other songs of French National Selection.
Sounds really good!
I keep on getting back to this snippet. WOW.
France, get this sh*t done in the right way – send this to Lisboa.
This may even win there.
#TeamFrance if this will be sent! 🙂
After Amir and Alma, this will sound great and it goes in the same direction.
Edoardo, honey, u r great!
My oh my… this sounds really good…
Wow! This is amazing!
Great production. It’s current, it’s fresh, I already love this song!
I hope the live performance is also powerful.
I don’t know if this can win in Lisbon, but I can already imagine this on stage, it will be wonderful.
Already a favourite for me!
Ahh the French sound of Maroon 5. Yes, this could do rather well.
It’s really hard to say anything based on snippets. But so far this is my favourite! Though I hope that the full version won’t dissapoint me.
disappoint*
LOVE the snippet! It brought a smile to my face! I will wait until all the snippets are released but up to now this HAS to win!
Heh, this sounds VERY promising
Need to hear more but it really shows you what a country can do when they take the contest seriously
La Belle France seems to have hit a rich vein of talent
I hope they do well because their efforts deserve it
I wish other nations would try harder also!
thanks
Winner!
Winner alert!
Another favorite I think ! Good mix French/English lyrics in the chorus like Amir in 2016. And original voice !!
great talent, what a voice! what a originality! I love this
