Since we last checked in on the bookies’ predictions on who will win the first semi-final of ESC 2012, the leaderboard has seen some major shifts. Denmark’s Soluna Samay remains on top at Betfair with odds of 107/50. However, she no longer shares that spot with San Marino. After unveiling her song “The Social Network,” Valentina Monetta has fallen to dead last with her odds of winning at 94/1. Ouch.
This week’s climbers include Greece’s Eleftheria Eleftheriou. The “Aphrodisiac” singer is now in third position with her odds at 371/100. Ireland’s Jedward (“Waterline”) have moved from fifth to fourth. Among the Top 10, Romania’s Mandinga (“Zaleilah”) and Finland’s Pernailla Karlsson (“När jag blundar” / When I close my eyes) saw even bigger movers. Romania has jumped from eighth to fifth, and Finland has moved from 12th to eighth. Trackshittaz—the Austrian rap group singing “Shake Your Ass”—saw the biggest rise in fortune. They’ve moved from 16th to tenth. Soluna must be quaking in her boots.

I approved this list! The ones on the eliminated list deserve to stay in the semi. They are either laughable, boring and forgettable.
