Green tea upsets her stomach, she prefers Disney films over horror flicks, and she’s not yet traveled to Slovakia. Those are just some of the gems that Kaleen’s fans mined during her hour-long live chat on Instagram on Friday. And what about that song leak? Well she brushed it off and kept on moving. She’s glad her fans liked it — and she can’t wait to sing the final version.

But for now you can feast your eyes on this 30-second snippet of “We Will Rave,” which she released shortly after her live stream ended.

Techno doesn’t have to be all about a DJ, but it definitely requires dance and Kaleen is more than up for it. The 29-year old has won five world championships in dance and she’ll unleash those moves at Eurovision 2024.

“With Kaleen, we are sending an artist who is versatile – she sings, she dances, she choreographs, and she is an absolute song contest insider,” ORF Program Director Stefanie Groiss-Horowitz said. “We are going to put on a big show in Malmö!”

She’s not exaggerating about Kaleen’s insider status. Among other things, she has been creative director for Spain at Junior Eurovision and she was stage director of the entire contest in 2022.

Kaleen is ready to grab the moment.

“I think I haven’t fully grasped the fact yet, that I’ll be standing on that stage as an artist myself. I am in love with this world of lights and cameras and believe it’s a privilege to take the audience on a journey. I worked hard for this, and I am extremely proud. I am very looking forward to showing the world what I can do!”

Austria is definatly giving one of the better songs this year!
But overall I feel like 2024 is a very weak season. Usually there were at least 2 songs that I like ld to listen to more than once, probabably on repeat. Last year at least 2 entries were extremly strong (Finnland and Sweden).
This year everything sounds mediocre and unsignificant.
Almost the worst eurovision year ever.

Anyone else having the same feeling?

This is one of my favourites this year. Its an amalgamation of all the 90’s songs I so loved when I was a teenager, and it comes wrapped in a package that features intense choreography, and from what I originally saw…a hi NRG freestyle dance break which is totally different to Chanel or any other female act previously.

I’m so looking forward to this being released.

She’s lucky that Keiino didn’t win….

In what way has Keiino got anything to do with this?! People are stretching hard this year to rival songs and acts!
As much as I love Keiino, they’re different to Kaleen and there’s no comparison.

I agree. People tend to put everything in the same box when it is not the same. KEiiNO had a typical 90s eurodance song, female verses and male “rap”, while the VB Gang song was more Kpop, and Super Rob and Erika Norwich was Bubblegum pop, very often female and male verses mostly extremely childish songs, and then there is europop that can also have nothing female and male singers but no rap (Ateens, ATC and so on). And then there is Euro-techno, and as I haven’t heard the entire “we will rave” song I have a feeling it might… Read more »

We will see how would that kind of song will be sing live on stage. Maybe like Germany Cascade or Austria singer from 2022, both song was disappointed live.

My favorite nepotism act in recent years. For all of those who don’t know, her husband is Marvin Dietmann, he essentially selected his wife to represent Austria.

Apart from the nepo-wife accusations, this is a quality act! I have no doubt that Marvin & Kaleen will deliver a world class performance, they have years of insider knowledge & experience behind them. I’m super excited for this one, this is a contender for the best staging and choreo for the year.

Marvin Dietmann did not select her. He is part of the esc panel but He did not cast a vote in any part of the selection process

with the third try in a row bringing a banger to eurovision I hope this year Austria will have learned its lessons and bring a perfect dance show onto the stage in Malmö. Commercially this could get one of the most successfull songs this year because it is clearly made for the young crowd.

I actually think we might have our ESC-winner here!
We have a retro-wave from the 90’s right now and Austria has chosen the perfect time, song and sound to surf it!

Knowing it’s Austria we’re talking about, I’m sensing difficulties for Kaleen to deliver those vocals live. It may flop just as Pia Maria did. Only time will tell if she’s a capable singer outside of the autotune.

Well I feel instantly this 90’s vibe, and clearly.
It feels nostalgic a lot to me I like that but careful cause the limit between nostalgic and tacky can be very slim sometimes.
I already saw Kaleen on stage doing some stand in rehearsals and I feel she could sell whatever style of songs on stage very well, so her esc performance is very promising in any case.
About the song itself, hearing this snippet, one name from the 90’s came to mind instantly, Haddaway if somebody has the reference.

Eurodance? for 2024? Groundbreaking.
Honestly I don’t get the hype, although a bit catchy, the song is mid at best.

Another leak that ends up being confirmed and I’m not gonna complaint because I really like this one. Proper 90s vibes, can’t wait to rave with Austria this year. Best of luck! 🙂

Looks like the leak was true after all, but that’s great news bc the song’s a banger!
The song’s genre is so up my alley and I’m sure she will even elevate it live!
I think it can bring Austria its best result in a decade and it’ll be among my favorites this year.
I’m so pumped for this, I can’t wait to listen to the complete song! 😀

If Baby Lasagna isn’t chosen to Croatia, Austria will probably have my favourite song. The Melodys of BOTH the verses and Choruses SLAP so hard and I am so down for some Eurobeat Eurodance type music! Kaleen is also a talented performer who can clearly sing whilst performing great choreography. I think this might be the best dance song ever at Eurovision and I hope it will give Austria its best result in a decade!

It seems that the twitter leak was true and honestly, I am excited for Austria. This and last year’s infamous leaks have made the songs, in a way, more exciting for me to hear the official version. At least they’re starting to go in a new direction that seems much more fun and exciting (compared to previous years)
