Team Wiwi is still talking about the jury-televote split from the grand final of Eurovision 2012. But after we wiped all of Loreen’s faux snow out of our eyes, we realized that there were two sets of semi-final results left for us to feast our eyes on. So let’s feast! But not all at once. We keep trim by watching what we eat.
It should come as no surprise that Albania’s Rona Nishliu won first place with the jury. This is a song contest, not a fashion contest, and her voice helped us forget about the dreadlock that she glued to her breastbone. She won the jury vote with 131 points, putting her well ahead of Moldova’s Pasha Parfeny (107 points) and Greece’s Eleftheria Eleftheriou (103 points).
The Buranovskiye Babushki didn’t show us any skin, but they did bring a fake oven with them on stage. The kitsch and the cooking won voters’ hearts. They earned a whopping 189 points from the public. That put them well ahead of the public’s second pick, Romania’s Mandinga (132). Albania came third with 131 points.

- If the jury had its way, then Iceland’s Greta and Jonsi would not have made the final with their song “Remember Me.” Israel’s Izabo would have gone to the final in Iceland’s place
