After months of hype, the Eesti Laul 2020 songs finally arrived in late November.
Since we already know which songs will partake in which semi-final in Estonia’s national selection for Eurovision 2020, we’re wondering who your semi-final favourites are.
Our pre-reveal poll showed that you’re most excited for Laura’s song. But now that we have heard all 12 first semi-final songs, we’re ready to find out who you like best.
Eesti Laul 2020 Semi-Final One Songs
Anett & Fredi – “Write About Me”
Anett & Fredi bring their passion and broken heart to the table. This ballad is certainly powerful and moving, but does it have your support in the first semi-final?
Egert Milder – “Georgia (On My Mind)”
This song’s music video stirred controversy for its political message. However, its cool vibe and fun beat help put that aside. Does Egert Milder have your vote?
INGA – “Right Time”
Ariana Grande-style high notes and a catchy pre-chorus make up for an interesting pop tune. Does Right Time hit the right spot for you?
Jennifer Cohen – “Ping Pong”
This returning artist got a lot of support in the 2019 selection, but didn’t make the final. This time she’s bringing some hot table tennis realness to Eesti Laul. Does she have your support?
Kruuv – “Leelo”
This throwback track showcases classic Estonian folk music at its best. It’s a nice vintage addition to the poppy sound of the contest. Is it what it takes to get your vote?
Laura – “Break Me”
Laura was the act you were most excited for before the songs were revealed. Now we know her song “Break Me”, a simple yet emotional bop. Does the Eurovision veteran still excite you?
LITTLE MESS – “Without a Reason”
The Little Mix-inspired trio are bringing this fierce pop track to the Estonian selection. Do they have what it takes to get your vote?
Rasmus Rändvee – “Young”
One of YouTube’s early favourites, this song already reached 14,000 views on the platform. But does this cool, fresh chill track buy your vote?
Renate – “Videomäng”
Estonian-language tracks make up quite a big percentage of this year’s song list. This one has a folk-rock vibe and definitely a lot of live performance potential. But is it your favourite?
REVALS – “Kirjutan Romaani”
Another Estonian song, this time in the country genre, definitely stands out from the rest of the pack. But do you like this standout?
STEFAN – “By My Side”
The 2019 second runner-up got a lot of support from you in the first poll of the season. Now that his strong power ballad is out, does your vote still go to him?
Synne Valtri Feat. Väliharf – “Majakad”
When the music video starts, you can hear a battle horn go off. This goes to show Eesti Laul 2019 finalist Synne Valtri is going for the win this year. Will you be supporting her and Väliharf?
Poll: Who should win semi-final one of Eesti Laul 2020?
Of the twelve competing songs, only six will qualify for the final. The first five qualifiers will be determined by a 50/50 split between juries and televote. The final spot will be determined in a second round of televoting. The lucky half dozen will go up against the top six from semi-final two in the grand final.
But which semi-final one act is your favourite? You can vote for as many songs as you like, but you can only vote once! The poll will close ahead of semi-final one on 13 February 2020.

lauras song is a real masterpiece!
together with ukraine semi 1 place 1&2 and the roop from the neighbours the best songs this year so far.
a beauty lady with a strong voice sings a timeless very catchy pop pearl with a little country touch.
i like especially that banjo in the background – it makes this song so special.
if laura can bring that studioversionmagic on the stage in semi 1 she will earn the final and maybe much more. 🙂
Same things people talking about Victor ….
I like these 7 songs
For the win i hope for – Egert, Rasmus or Stefan (from this semi)
EGERT MILDER – GEORGIA (ON MY MIND)
JENNIFER COHEN – PING PONG
LAURA – BREAK ME
RASMUS RÄNDVEE – YOUNG
REVALS – KIRJUTAN ROMAANI
STEFAN – BY MY SIDE
SYNNE VALTRI & VÄLIHARF – MAJAKAD
Annet x Fredi, potentially.
Rasmus’s song bores me to death. It’s the most unoriginal song of them all!
Laura
This one is easy for me – Rasmus Randvee! 🙂
I quite like Stefan and Synne Valtri too.
On the first semifinal, I’m rooting for Rasmus and Anett & Fredi.
Anett X Fredi, Rasmus, Jennifer, INGA and Egert are my favs of this semi, but tbh I prefer the 2nd semi
ok, let’s vote for Laura only because she was in selection and at eurovision? typical eurofan thoughts
break me and georgia on my mind are my favorites from this semi
Anett & Fredi and Renate
My favorite in EL 2020 😀
Ikr love it
Anett x Fredi, Jennifer Cohen or INGA!!!
Only Rasmus here..
Renate is SO overlooked 🙁
Love that song <3
Difficult. I think the overall winner is in SF2.
For SF1… I have six that I like, so maybe flip three coins. 🙂
I like Rasmus, but i prefer his last entry ”This love”.
Anett&Fredi, hands down. For reasons unknown to me their songs seems to be getting overlooked by the fans, in my opinion really unfairly. It’s simple, cute, sincere and quite profound actually. It doesn’t shout at you or begs for your attention in any way – instead “Write About Me” invites you for a trip down the memory lane, deconstructing an unsuccessful relationship – and it’s a musical journey as well! The music meanders soulfully, transforming the aching of a broken heart into notes. It’s gentle, relaxing, purifying and it’s definitely my favorite entry of Eesti Laul 2020.
I totally see the appeal of the song. Sabrina also says it’s one of her top 2 of the semi. It’s very well written, soulful and as you say, feels genuine. I find it slightly repetitive for my taste. I still think it’s good and should qualify from this semi.
Stefan is a clear winner for me. Rasmus is second here. After all, this semifinal seems to be the weak one!
For me, there is only 1 winner of this semi final
1 entry which will have the audience participating with handclaps when the music drops away at the end of the last chorus. 1 entry which has a cool vibe with great George Ezra-esque vocals………that entry is Egert Milder and Georgia (On My Mind)……….the points from the Caucasus’ countries alone, will guarantee a place in the Grand Final……..
What a fabulous entry……
Please do the right thing Estonia…..
Lots of luck from Ireland!!!
Since it’s the one without Jaagup: Rasmus. Clearly Rasmus.
