Maraaya have unveiled their video for ‘Here For You’.
The Slovene duo, who we’re absolutely in love with, have recently seen ‘Here For You’ skyrocket in the odds to win Semi-Final 2. Their official video has us crushing so hard. It cements their position as a favourite in our mind and only adds more fuel to the fire. BRING THE HEAT!
Watch Maraaya’s clip below:
Maraaya’s clip flits between a moody and emotional opening and an intense close. The opening shots are high on the drama, with singer Marjetka getting snowed on and letting her vocal shine in intense close-ups.
Mixed in are plenty of alluring silhouettes that compliment rather than distract from the central focus on Marjetka.
The action then morphs to Marjetka in a gorgeous white gown, giving intensive eye work and shots perfectly acting out the percussion layered through the second half of the song.
We don’t wanna jinx anything but this could seriously be Slovenia’s best entry ever.
I’d be a million times more excited if Slovenia won than my own country!
I love the song, love her voice, love the video, and they are so charming and funny in the interviews I’ve seen.
Maraaya is so charming as their song!
I hope they can enter Top 10 this time.
Wishing this pair good luck from the PHILIPPINES!
Slovenia has to cut the length of the song! Right now they have 3:22′. !!!!!!
This is 00:22′ seconds to long ! Otherwise they will be disqulified.
Same problem with the Italian entry this year “Il Volo” it’s too long !
They all have some homework left ……..
My prediction so far:
1. Australia
2. Sweden
3. Slovenia
Good song but not winner material.
Slovenia currently is 9th /17 on my top for the 2nd semifinal..
Maraaya have chances of even winning the whole semifinal if it turns out great for them.. 🙂
In the interview they’re like “we love Duffy, Amy, Adele, all the modern singers!”…all British yet we send crocks of shit like Electro Velvet. The fuck.
I love the song its in my top 10, but not loving the video.I think people will vote for it cos its so memorable. I’m not huge on the headphones or violin dancer but I thi bb k loads of people will love it 🙂
Meh.
I like it.
I think that Slovenia has chance to even win in Vienna! <3
One of the hot candidates that will gonna battle 4 the victory! 🙂
Ok thats a good song… 🙂 Its a sure qualifier 4 me in my top20.. 🙂 Slovenia is a hot favorite 4 a descent result in the Diamond Vision.. 🙂 The duo of Maraaya can do great finishing on high place.. 🙂 Marjetka’s voice is very unique & beautiful…! Not many female singers in the music industry have such sweet voice like her! <3 🙂 She is the slovenian Anastacia / Duffy! <3 🙂 I like dear Raay too… 🙂 This slovenian babe is hot hunk! <3 🙂 This duo seems lovely and sympathetic to me! <3 🙂 I really… Read more »
I can see this one doing well, but I’m not sure if it’s a winner.
My second fav (after Estonia) love it <3
Go, Maraaya! Go Slovenia! Into the finals it is! It must be! 🙂
I don’t like this song at all! I know I’m one of the very few here, but the more I tried, the less I liked it… I didn’t like Duffy, and I don’t like this! And the headphones are annoying as hell!
I love to see this win, though I’m afraid it’ll be a repeat of Maja Keuc: it’ll get a high ranking from the juries, but the public will forget to vote. Hence the mid-table ranking.
This song could be a winner if it represented another country. But will Slovenia get enough support? I doubt it. Sure they have some neighbours competing this year but not enough to provide strong bloc voting. Will the rest of Europe even care for this fine song? I hope so. But this could be one of the bitter surprises of the semis. Let’s see.
One of the best this year!! Good luck Slovenia!:)
Best music video among the rest so far (but I will still wait for Mans Zelmerlow’s “Heroes”).
Slovenia will qualify to final, because rivals are tragic this year.
Well. Always loved Slovenia entry since I ear it for the first time. But now it´s growing even big and big on me. Maybe, don’t know if i love it even more than Estonia.
Lots of good music this year: Estonia, Slovenia, Spain, Italy, Azerbeijan, Georgia, Belgium, Norway, Swede (amazing stage), France, Albânia, Latvia (big and minimalist at the same tima), Germany (they should had choosed Fahrenheit), Austria
My poor Portugal. Not a bad song but miles away from the medium quality of this year
This or Albania are my favourites to win in Vienna but I fear that Finland or Sweden actually will (I wouldn’t mind Sweden winning though).
Sorry Andrew B, but those headphones are the trademark of Maraaya, like Conchita Wurst is known for her beard. And it’s confirmed they’re bringing their air violinist with them to Vienna.
The only Slovenian entry since 2009 that I disliked markedly was 2012; I think they’re one of my absolute favorite Eurovision countries, and I’m glad that they’re finally getting some recognition.
I don’t like this song… It’s not even in my Top 10. Why does she always wear the headphones? I hate it. I’m also sure that we won’t be surprised in the staging because she has done the same in the video than what she did in de show… So I suppose that in esc she will wear headphones, there will be a pianist and a strange woman doing strange movements. Good luck, but too overrated.
Love this song. It’s my 2nd overall. Wouldn’t mind it to win. Hope Latvia, Slovenia or Estonia wins this year, but please not Sweden again.
#Ljubljana2016 – I believe.
If Estonia doesn’t win, then this song better win!!! I’m so ready for a new winner and Slovenia definitely deserves it seeing as they’re always so underrated 😀 Sweden and Italy are good songs and all but wow, if they win then its like “talk about old news…”
I honestly think Slovenia has a chance to win this year. Yes they’re always underrated, but wasnt Austria as well? Plus Slovenia is the only strong ex-Yugoslav and can see all votes going to them!
Love, love, love it! Keeping my fingers and toes crossed that they do well (and obv voting for them too!)
SO MUCH GLAM, she can take us to Ljubljana indeed!
YES!! Love it even more!!!!!! GO SLOVENIA, GO MARAAYA, GO THE STUNNING AIR-VIOLIN GIRL, let me have a specific reason to visit Ljubljana in 2016!!! 😀
