@CookyMonzta Yeah, I know he’s norweigan. (Making me, a swede, a bit jealous since I prefer his music to the swedish house artists I listed, especially since Kygo went viral through remixing a song by Kyla La Grange – my biggest idol!) I was talking about the swedish guys with the Kygo-influenced tropical house music. I don’t know how well Kygo himself would do, or if he’d ever be up for something like that. @jasmine: Kygo is Norwegian. Better the chance he’ll submit his entry to Norsk Melodi Grand Prix before he goes to Melodifestivalen. He might have been tough competition for Mørland and Debrah or Måns THIS year!

Haha, the pronunciation of the “Smajling Swedes” is just hilarious. Judgin’ from the smileys on their T-shirts, I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to be a swenglish way of spelling “Smiling”, so in other words “Smiling Swedes”. Wasn’t aware of their participation in Melfest until now, but after watching an interview with them I have to say that I’m really pumped! Seems like they’re going to bring some tropical house music to Melfest. Kygo is awesome, and house music is extremely popular in Sweden right now.
